Kenji Yamamoto did not compose the Overseas BGM for DBRB (What is included on the DBRB CES - the Japanese version of DBRB only contained the original Dragon Ball anime score by Shunsuke Kikuchi).
Toshiyuki Kishi, a famed Japanese musician (and anime and VGM composer somewhat), composed and arranged the Overseas BGM to Raging Blast, while SUNAO, a Japanese guitarist who knows Kishi, performed as a guitarist. Kishi even confirmed that he did the DBRB Overseas BGM when I asked him that exact question. Though in this case, it's understandable, as the overseas credits for Dragon Ball Raging Blast do not mention Kishi or SUNAO at all. Kishi and SUNAO also did the Overseas BGM to "Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3" ("Sparking! METEOR"). On a related note: Why the hell are people so inclined to quickly jump to the conclusion that Yamamoto did all of the BGM for every single Dragon Ball game? Seems like you are right.
It's my fault doing not enough research.. i simply did not know the music was different on the US and Japanese versions of the game. Thanks for the rectification. |

As for the overseas opening to Tenkaichi 1? I have no idea. Probably someone from Bandai, but it's certainly not Kenji's style (nor Kishi's). |

At the very best, most of the people you mentioned were most likely categorized as sound [effect] designers: It's hard to tell what they mean by "Sound" (weather it's SFX, BGM or both), so that doesn't necessarily mean that the people listed compose music too. Also, I highly doubt that any of the BT2 Overseas BGM staff did the BT1 intro as well. Last edited by USAJAP1; Jul 13, 2011 at 04:15 AM. |

Because there was a pattern with him being the only guy to get proper soundtrack releases of his DB game projects (till date), which almost certainly meant that an enclosure like this wouldn't have fit the bill. |
