Hmm, will there be any hope of seeing this on Amazon Jp or CDjapan? I'm surprised Basiscape haven't signed this under their label, though I'd guess licensing would have something to do with that.

Not to come in here and be the pedant or anything, but why are some of the translated tracks in sentence case and not in title case? "It's not debugging" or "What a relief" for example... does this perhaps come from the game? Also the comma placement in track 12 is wrong. It should be placed after "demon", not after "come". When you address somebody like this, the comma comes after the noun of direct address.

"Mortavia, come and watch TV with me."
You can flip the sentence around to see how it makes sense.
"Come and watch TV with me, Mortavia."

I mean no disrespect to whoever filled out the tracklist, just trying to improve it~

Nice to hear some of Sakimoto in his early, extremely YMO-influenced VGM-sounding days.

The reason why it's not the first letter in uppercase, the rest in lowercase was because I thought some track names were not capitalized, but it's actually only the two tracks. The original tracklist is a bit inconsistent with likes of "SUNCTUARY", but I'd wait to see how the actual printed tracklist turns out to be. Meanwhile, anybody's welcomed to improve it.

I'd basically take anybody's else word on translation, but the two of your examples are imperative. Since the original track name is not ask demons to come here and do something, I'm not sure if we should insert a comma between the subject and the predicate.

As with most recent Supersweep releases, I'd imagine that this will be released via other online retailers. Usually it seems to be showing up 1 month release date after Sweep Record's shop.

Okay, so it's all one action. Demons Come and Sing a Song. I see now. Well, then I wouldn't put a comma at all. I notice now that there is a small space after て, but I wouldn't add a comma for it.

I think in this case the comma might be preference. If you think it looks better with it, keep it.

Did not see this coming. Why now? I would have expected it for a remake, but only the original game is listed under products. Just for fun, eh? Oh well, still cool.

The bigger surprise is why the "Game Music Discovery Series" label isn't on the cover art. Or maybe it will be there and that's just prototype art.

Because that's exactly what this is: a first print of previously-unreleased music from a decade (or more) prior.

Great news. Let's hope more of Iwata and Sakimoto's classic shooters, like Revolter, Shippu Mahou Daikusen, Over Horizon, and Verytex get commemorated in future.

I'm late to this, but wow. Nice to see obscure stuff from Sakimoto and Iwata being brought to light.

And are there no specific compositional credits for either of them?

SuperSweep hasn't posted a breakdown to the web yet, but that doesn't mean that they won't in the future or that the album won't have one (they never posted Trauma Center 1's breakdown online, for instance).

Most SuperSweep releases have specific composition credits, so I'm hopeful.

I just noticed that Basiscape has a page up for the album with some samples, and the samples have specific composer credits, so I'm sure the album will have a breakdown.

04: Sakimoto
06: Iwata
15: Sakimoto
21 (originals → 1 or more boss themes): Iwata
22 (original → 14): Sakimoto

They also revealed several more composer credits in a streaming program (expires within a day).

07, 20: Iwata
08, 12, 21: Iwata
16: Sakimoto
17, 23: Sakimoto

Despite the SRIN- catalog, stem, Basiscape's site still states the album is published by them. Interesting.

Yes, the email I received today also lists the Publisher as Basiscape, despite the SRIN cat. number. I believe the release date listed is an error. It could also be when it is going to be sold at other online vendors (a possibility). I changed the Publisher to Basiscape Records based on the information below.

I wonder if the cat no isn't an error, that should be BSPE-1048 with that jan code
even if supersweep is the distributor of basiscape records releases

I'm not so sure. Even the Basiscape page lists that cat number (SRIN-1108)

I think you misunderstood me, I speak about company decision
using SRIN instead of BSPE is probably an error from a member of basiscape staff and that has spread everywhere

Considering that the game has been listed on ebay for $50,000, I believe this is one soundtrack that will not exceed the cost of the game any time soon.

So, this is the original PC Engine soundtrack with some arranged tracks at the end, right?

That's right. Original PC-Engine tracks at the beginning, unused and arranged tracks at the end.
