Default Odd VGM Out?!

I've been watching and playing a lot of Only Connect recently, and thought I'd try this. I'll give the names of four composers, tracks or whatever and you have to guess the odd one out. It could be something about the person, or even something musical. Like Only Connect itself, the answer is usually fiendishly (and often ridiculously) difficult. Right then, I'll start off with a simple one:

Yuki Harada, Yasunori Mitsuda, Manami Kiyota, S.F.A.

Is it SFA, the only one not to have worked with Yasunori Mitsuda?

Good answer but I'm afraid that's not the answer I was after...

Oh, is it SFA because that's the only name that doesn't include 田 (ta or da) in it?

Like your thinking, but..

Mitsuda, because the rest have only composed for one game so far.

Your go.

This one could be a good deal harder. I've tried to make it so that there's only one answer, but who knows? There could be something I haven't thought of.

Yuzo Koshiro, Shinji Hosoe, Manami Matsumae, Miki Higashino

Hosoe? The rest have composed (or partly composed) the first game in a legendary series. (Ys, Megaman, Suikoden)

???

Nope, that's not it. After all, Hosoe has worked on titles like Ridge Racer. That would have been too subjective. Keep trying!

OK. Hosoe? But because the others have at some point belonged to a company's sound team.

Those are too vague. This is pretty darn specific. (And Hosoe used to be at Namco, I'm pretty sure.)

I thought so too, but NBGI doesn't seem to be under "Units" so maybe he wasn't officially?

The Last Word is the odd one out because it's performed entirely live, while the other two are entirely synthesized?

No, he was definitely an in-house composer at Namco then Arika.

Yeah, Hosoe was hired by Namco as a part-time debugger, then became a regular sound staff.

Tough. Only Hosoe hasn't married yet, right?

If that's true, that's definitely not what I was thinking...I suppose it was a little TOO specific.

The answer was Matsumae. All of the others contributed to Ten Plants.

I had figured people would use the search function here to check things like that...

Nope, it's more to do with how they appear on CD. (Probably given it away now!)
