I added the Japanese track list for this one. This album is almost the same as this one (https://vgmdb.net/album/77187), except it's missing the short versions of the OP and ED. I think they made up for it by having the full color cover art though. I have this one coming to me in the mail right now, so I'll update it with images when it arrives.

This soundtrack is really good. Incredible OP and ED songs and the in-game BGM is fantastic. I just wish there was more of it. The whole thing is over too quick. I find myself listening to the whole CD four or five times in a row.

The steampunk series has always had some excellent music. I was disappointed they didn't hire M.U.T.S music studio to do the BGM this time. It seems like a cut in budget which resulted in less music and a different composer.
Fortunately there's a lot more music from the earlier Steampunk games.

I just randomly happened upon this CD for a really good price and took a chance on it. I was surprised by how good the music was, especially the OP and ED songs. I did enjoy the BGM as well, but like you said, there really isn't much of it.

I've never played the game, or any of the games in the series you mentioned. Can you link me to some VGMdb pages for other soundtracks from this Steampunk series? I'd love to check them out.

The series has a product entry on VGMdb, so they're all here:
https://vgmdb.net/product/3089

You should check out the tokuten soundtracks in particular, but there are plenty of best selections and compilation albums as well, some with cross fade demos. Shiei no Sona-Nyl is probably my favorite.

Thank you for the recommendations. I'm going to check some more of these out!

I also have this album on the way in the mail (https://vgmdb.net/album/88723), but it doesn't look like it's from the same series (though it is a Liar-soft game).

Thanks for the heads up about this series of games and soundtracks. I took a listen to some examples and I love them. Really looking forward to diving into these more.

By the way, is this album ( https://vgmdb.net/album/88723 ) not part of the Steampunk series? If not, how can you tell which Liar-soft games are and which aren't?
