Culling GMR
Now that our number of albums is roughly equivalent of GMR, I'm going to go through the site slowly but surely to round up anything they have that we don't. I don't know if anyone wants to assist, but I'm going to tackle #-A right now.
Once all of those albums are done, I can then keep an eye on all updates made since I started this project to keep up to date with new and updated album info.

I've already been culling GMR, but I've been going in chronological order, and I've been skipping albums that I don't have adequate information on. I'll probably continue working through it this way.

I'm with you on the information aspect. Perhaps I should work chronologically backwards (from today's date) and meet you in the middle. I think that would be the best.
For my reference: -release date- completion SS: 001 > ??? KG: 246 < 243 < ??? (Dec 31, 2007 < August 24, 2007 < ???)

Is GMR okay with VMGdb pulling information from there?

Yes, I've obtained permission from Mik, stating that we are free to use any information from his site. I don't recommend taking anything without verification though, as a lot of what's left on GMR is stuff that hasn't been thoroughly researched, but was instead pulled from some older sources/lists.

I always do three things (and when I can, a fourth):
1. Verify that the album actually exists (searching by cat# and title). If I find it in stores online, that's a good sign that it does. 2. Verify that the album is related to a videogame (usually searching on title). Wikipedia and GameFAQs help here. 3. Make sure the info is as correct as I can get. The publisher's website is always the best place to obtain this info, but they don't always have pages dedicated to their albums, so I often refer to online retailers and other sources. 4. Get a cover scan of some sort. Visual identification is a big help.

So, I went and grabbed every catalog number from GMR as of right now and diffed it against VGMdb. I figured the work thread should be different from the discussion thread, plus the list is, well, huge (2100+), so HI GUYS LOOK OVER HERE
