Sorry I can't find my sealed copy to check... is the obi in three or two pieces? My used copy only has front and side, no back, and is glued to the cardboard cover.

Thanks

It looks like the kind of obi that's an extension of the back of the box, and then wraps around the spine and part of the front - I know King used this kind of box for other similar releases. So I guess you could say the obi is in three pieces, since it has to bend around two corners.

Oh all right so wait, there's not back part (the part where there are usually ads for other albums)?

It could be one of those loose obi's where the back of it fits the entire backside of the box, but if you look at the box back scan it looks like the obi is fitted on to the right side of it. Like this:

Could someone clarify the composer/arranger for disc 1, track 8? SEMO says it's Naoki Maeda, but I'd like to make extra sure.

Seems wrong. The composer listed is Metal Slave Naoki/メタルスレイブ直樹. The notes say he is Naoki Matsui/松井直樹 (a Konami producer for various MSX games), and JP sites agree (ex), though dunno about the source.

Plus Maeda's first name is written 尚紀, while Matsui's is 直樹,

Hiroyuki Shirotani is credited as the alto & soprano saxophone player for "Here Comes The Hero", Motoaki Furukawa plays the guitar on that track as well.

Romaji or English translation? The English tracklist is a mixture of both with some poor translations (Increase the Eye???).

Feel free to revert the album title change if needed, but I can't find any indication anywhere that the album is called anything but "コナミ・オールスターズ1993 / KONAMI ALL STARS 1993". "夢のミュージックステーション" is the title of the first disc. Disc 2 is called "さゆ鈴のコナミレーベルインフォメーション番外編", and disc 3 "アメコミ・コネクション". アメコミ seems to be an abbreviation of American Comics.

Tsutomu Ogura says in the liner notes that he only did SFX for G.I. Joe, so I guess the music's all Kenichiro Fukui ¯\(º_o)/¯

Disc 1, track 1 was miscredited to Motoaki Furukawa for arrangement in the notes when it's actually Prophet Fukami (see page 4 of the booklet).

Are you sure about this? I have a used Konami Special Music: Senryoubako that also has a glued obi like this. The entire back is attached.

Both are from King Records: Konami Special Music

Konami All Stars: seems attached to me

It's not an obi, just part of the box made to look like one; it's all the same cardboard piece. Another King Records album that's like this is FSB '96.

Yes I own this album, Senryoubako, and FSB '96 and they're all the same design. It's not really an obi because it can't be removed as it's part of the cardboard box. There's nothing behind the "spine" and the back part is literally just the back of the box; there's no other layer there.

finally, a good photo to see how the obi is part of the box itself.

I only have the case without the box and no calendar. I really don't want to buy another one just to archive these.

Also, I'm editing my scans of Konami Special Music: Senryoubako Heisei Sannenban right now, and it seems to include everything. Let me know if there's anything missing that could be uploaded.
