Yes, but in this case I don't really mind. The resulting track is awesome!

The main theme from Onimusha 3 - composed by Akari Kaida - is used in several tracks. E.g. Dawn of Nightmares, Tenkai Theme, chapter and character music.

So, are the first 2 discs the gameplay music by Fukasawa, and disc 3 the cinematic score by Christopherson? Do I have that right?
The gamerip on hcs64 credits Christopherson for the Main Theme and Ohatsu's Rescue, so it is all mixed up? I really want to know who composed what on this soundtrack.

I played this game extensively back in the day and I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since. On disc 3, for example, listen to track 12 Yodo's Arrival from 50 sec. and you'll hear that's not symphonic, so I don't think all of disc 3 could be Jamie Christopherson. Most of disc 3 is stage prologue music, which were mostly static screens with text. There were a bunch of in-engine cutscenes too.
I'm guessing by "music for cinematics" in the booklet they meant prerendered FMVs, of which there aren't many, e.g. intro. But they could also mean to include in-engine cutscenes. You can look at a playthrough on Youtube. I would say all gameplay music and non-symphonic cutscene music is Hideyuki Fukasawa, symphonic music for prerendered FMVs is Jamie Christopherson.

Also, Akari Kaida should be added as an uncredited composer as per my post #4 above.

All tracks on disc one and two are solely composed and arranged by Fukasawa. Easy to understand by style alone; good stuff. Regarding the main theme, it has Fukasawa's typical melodic phrasing and instruments. Strings, brass and overall mix are different than Christopherson and in-line with Fukasawa's other tracks. His synth guitar is out there as well. Same applies to Ohatsu's Rescue; his strings and harp.
Disc three can be slightly deceptive as there are a few instances where they cleverly mixed Fukasawa and Christopherson's tracks into one, still nothing too hard to tell apart when carefully listening. Besides the fact that Fukasawa's style is very obvious in general, his instruments sounds thinner and dryer, and he often utilizes risers and clusters in his tracks to raise tension. Not to mention his taiko, harp, and choir samples from that era stands out.

My composer breakdown for those that are interested:

Disc 1 & 2: Hideyuki Fukasawa

Disc 3:
Hideyuki Fukasawa: 02-06, 08-16, 18
Jamie Christopherson: 01

Track 3.07:
Hideyuki Fukasawa: 0:58-6:26
Jamie Christopherson: 0:00-0:57

Track 3.17:
Hideyuki Fukasawa: 0:00-0:53, 1:31-1:59, 3:12-3:44
Jamie Christopherson: 0:54-1:30, 2:00-3-11 (using Fukasawa's motif at 2:43)

Track 3.19:
Hideyuki Fukasawa: 0:00-3:49
Jamie Christopherson: 3:50-5:21

I am fairly confident that these are entirely correct.
