Cool! How did you confirm the first name, Cedille? :-) I didn't realize the information was out there since I've always seen "S."

The Legacy Music Hour interviewed Kinuyo Yamashita. They got an almost-complete composer breakdown for Castlevania 1 too. Check out Yamashita's discussion thread starting from this post for more.

Well, maybe we'd also benefit from having more information from it. The persons behind The Legacy Music Hour apparently figured out someone called Satoe Terashima scored The Goonies I&II, Life Force, Castlevania I&II. Meanwhile, keeping this entry as S. Terashima would be safer.

Anybody knows about this interview?

While the game lacks credits, former Konami composer Iku Mizutani confirmed that Satoe Terashima did the music for the game.
Also, as suspected, was she the same person as "T" who scored part of Haunted Castle? Seems like another unsung classic composer.

Yeah, you're right. And if Doommaster1994 is a fellow of ntwrk506, perhaps we'll get a confirmation soon.

I don't know DoomMaster1994, but when I was asking Kinuyo Yamashita about Satoe Terashima, she never said Terashima's name was not Satoe, so I'd assume that Satoe was her name -otherwise, I imagine Kinuyo would have corrected me.

I kind of looked into it and apparently DoomMaster1994 contacts composers himself to verify information about video game music. He didn't do an actual formal interview with Iku Mizutani, but through some personal exchanges with him, he confirmed the Satoe Terashima stuff. It's good enough for me and plus, like I said earlier, I think Kinuyo Yamashita would have said something if it was wrong. I think you should change the name of the thread back to Satoe Terashima and leave it like that until you find out otherwise.

Her name has been confirmed by Kinuyo Yamashita as Satoe Terashima.

I asked her on Facebook "Is S. Terashima's name really Satoe? Thanks." She replied with "Yes, it is".

Nice. Is her given name just さとえ? Or the kanji isn't confirmed yet?

Well... I took the Kanji for her name from other's. I'm not sure if it's 100%. Remove it if you want.
