I wonder why some people are saying that the Soundtrack is Out-of-Print? You can order two of the Ocarina of Time Albums still at Play-Asia.com for a fairly cheap price (and it looks like there're not an reprint too).
I just ordered my copies, hope it helps some people who are still searching for it. |

Does anyone know about this version? It has the same catalog number but it looks different.

ガノンドロフ = ga-no-n-do-r(o)-f; the o is taken from ド, not ロ, so it's dorf, not drof. The second o is near silent. I suppose that "Ganon" does rhyme with "cannon" (キャノン), but Ganon is said quicker, so the first n sound isn't stressed that much, so it actually rhymes with "canon" and the fact that it's Ganon today, I believe, makes it perfect for all time. Porky from the Mother series is another good example of this, as his name (ポーキー) was always spelt the same yet he was always meant to be Porky despite being called Pokey in Mother 2. This is further evidence that I prefer Ganon (another official conversion in both the US and Japan) over Gannon every day of the week. Last edited by kyubihanyou; Apr 7, 2010 at 03:53 PM. |

Well, I've finally deleted this profile. I couldn't find any game that Yoshiko Kawamoto is credited even in MobyGames.

Wow. None of the covers have the romanized title of "Ocarina of Time", only "The Legend of Zelda Original Sound Track" is used. Kind of a big flaw.

Also, while I assume they omitted the choir portion of "Fire Temple" due to disc space and not wanting to offend folks, "Dinosaur Boss Battle" missing its entire chorus section is a huge letdown - almost completely ruins the song. Pony Canyon did horrible job with this release. |

Sorry to bump an old thread. I have a question, though. Since this is a Japanese soundtrack, where do the English track titles come from? (Not the "English (literal translation)" ones, since that's fairly obvious.)
Seanne above mentioned something about an "included English tracklist." Did this album have a special insert with English track titles? In short, I'm wondering if the track titles on the VGMDB page for this OST are the official English titles or merely fan conjecture--and the English literally translated the closest we come to official titles in English? (Side note: I know there's an American version of this OST, but it's a lot shorter and missing approximately 2/3 the tracks of this one.) |

that "blabla... discontinued ...blabla" sentence idiocy should be removed from the notes
same with http://vgmdb.net/album/700 notes it's not discontinued, it's just the price maintained till the date printed near release date wrongly thought as oop (till some years ago) |

So... it's 2022. What is the best CD release of this game's soundtrack? Obviously they shouldn't have stuffed it in one disc. Maybe back then it was just a game, but it was sort of big at release anyway. If you're the guy who decided to stuff this on one disc back then, please note, you are a bad person, weally bad
Problem is, Majora's Mask PICA-2006 had two discs and still isn't a great OST with random loops or no loops, tracks that cut at different places etc. Is there a definitive OoT OST that came out on CD (original, not arranged or remixed)? |

94040 and 3590940 are all properly looped, but even between them they're still missing a lot from this one, mainly the shorter tracks like the ocarina songs. And of course nothing has the 1.0 version of the Fire Temple music. Unfortunately there just isn't a single definitive album that has everything.
As for Majora's Mask, there's no reason to get anything other than TSCM-0029~30. Everything is there and fully looped. |

(this one) seems OoT is still open to receiving a proper release, i just hope it's not going to be a vinyl. thanks for your answer. thos german release vol I / vol II used to be super cheap years ago, not really anymore. i also regret not buying them... |
