There's a "Sting Ogawa" credited as the "sound composer" for SpellCaster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtZOwZqFDNw#t=9m52s. So seems like that might be Sachio.

Based on that, the "Sting Saito" who's credited as the "sound composer" for Super Thunder Blade could be him too: http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/genesis/a/sthun.htm. Going with a completely made up family name would be kind of weird, though. The other possible connector there is that the person who comments on the Super Thunder Blade arrangement on G.S.M. SEGA 2 is "S.O," and Ogawa is credited as "so" on the VF4 Evolution OST. Sega apparently did have another S.O., although it seems he only worked on one game ever.

UPDATE: Space Harrier 3D credits "Sting S" as the "music arranger": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoPJQYFK66Y#t=40m33s. So if "Sting Saito" really is Sachio Ogawa and there isn't a SEGA sound guy we don't know about named Saito, he's gone that way more than once.

For anybody who cares, Ogawa was the one behind the Japanese/European Mega CD start up theme. (David Javelosa did the USA start up themes, if anybody didn't know)

Forgot to post this here, but the liner notes of MEGA DRIVE 25th Anniversary Album Vol.1 credit Super Thunder Blade's soundtrack to Sachio Ogawa, so there's direct confirmation that he's "Sting Saito."

I should mention that seems to be incorrect. I've forgotten where I saw the source on that listed as "a SEGA employee" (thought it was vgmpf but apparently not), but there's a couple tweets from Yosuke Okunari where he says it was composed by Masafumi Ogata, and specifically comes from song contest between SEGA rookies. I certainly find that more likely after noticing that it's got a similar tune to the title theme of HYPER MARBLES, which M.O worked on. Probably someone mixed up the names of Ogata and Ogawa.

Good find. Not sure where that was originally stated anyway.

Interesting. As for Ogawa doing that, maybe another composer told someone that in DMs - so probably a mix up. Okunari also says something like "Game Gear's 3DS theme (GG Sonic 2) is also Mr. Ogata's song.", I wonder which track he's referring to specifically?

Considering the person he's quote tweeting talked about the 3DS home screen, it's probably referencing the downloadable GAME GEAR theme, which includes Green Hills Zone (You Can Do Anything) as the BGM.

I've thought for a while that ROGE who composed the Mega Drive Super League soundtrack could be Ogawa as it's fairly similar to Super Thunder Blade.

I found this interview (page 7) between Tokuhiko Uwabo and ROGE where ROGE confirms that he plays bass, just like Ogawa, which is a bit of extra support for the theory.
(also he says he listens to the music of Suzanne Vega, Tracy Chapman, Led Zeppelin and video game music (that he's made))

ROGE「SST
