Spoke to Spencer Nilsen about this CD a little bit ago and here's what he shared.

"Hi Audi, Yes, those are pretty rare promotional CDs created to promote the games when they were released in the early 1990s at tradeshows and to music as well as game magazines. We were also preparing to begin releasing game soundtracks starting with the music from Ecco 1+2 which would be called “Ecco-Songs of Time. The track titles from Discogs would be the correct ones to use."

They are mixed for Hi-fi setups and sound clearer than the game versions. I will upload them lossless to archive.org

Where did these track names come from, outside of Discogs? Are they official?

The notes say they were taken from the game data, so I'd imagine the game files or some such.
