I deactivate this entry since it looked a bit premature (though we've never established any stance), but once announced, we'll activate this one.

Edit: Oh, I didn't know we had a website (which may amount to an announcement ) and a package scan, so I think it's at least more legit than some of the precedence.

This just shot up to something that I'm EXTREMELY looking forward to. I love Sound Horizon's music and I also expect good things from this (as well as the Linked Horizon project he's doing related to the Bravely Default worldview)

FINALLY they revealed it, and what a surprise!
Looks like it's going to be a 2disc soundtrack as well.
Main theme and battle theme sounded awesome so far.

this might be the greatest thing since NieR. Though in a decidedly different style.

Fingers crossed! I'm excited!!

As a fan of Sound Horizon this pleases me. Looking forward to both this and Linked Horizon.

"Flying Fairy" should be removed from products, because other related stuff doesn't appear
or added to other 5 albums =)

Hmm, interesting - after hearing the first samples I never expected the composer to be Revo. I've heard only bits and pieces of his work for Sound Horizon, but I liked the collaboration with Kajiura on the Dream Port single.
Again, interesting choice as composer. Looking forward to this.

Vol.3 battle demo was just released and there are more music samples. I cannot wait for this score, seriously, hurry up October 10th!!!

This is part of the collector's edition of the game right? I presume it will be released separately as well?

Why would SQEX do something like that? That's not something they normally do...but I hope it's not the only way to get this soundtrack.

That would indeed be very "disappointing" (*g*). Let's hope for an official release...

This is very unlikely. They did the same with Tactics Ogre, for example: the soundtrack was released the same day as the game so that it could be included within the limited edition.

Indeed, SQEX would be pretty stupid if they decided against an official release. The Revo "tag" on the OST is probably already going to pull in so many customers, that this simply can't fail (commercially at least).

Yay, a catalog number. So it won't be enclosed only after all.

that's because SQEX staff have seen LA's comment, and since they don't want to be stupid they made as he said =)

I don't think you needed to delete the entire thing. A little bit of editing and it would have been fine, I think.

Anyhow, has anyone listened to this yet? The wait definitely paid off. Easily one of, if not the best, soundtracks released this year. That final boss theme (track 2.18) is masterful.

Yes, an excellent soundtrack! It's "usual" RPG music essentially but extremely elegant and arranged with a lot of care.

It joins the 2 other memorable 3DS soundtracks this year: Etrian Odyssey IV and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

About the edits I made to the country names in the tracklist: Ike Nelson names them all, in English, during the second song on Luxendarc Daikikou.

Quote:
1.08: Gardisra - The Beginning Country
1.20: Lakrika - The Desert and the Huge Clock Country
2.05: Flowell - The Fascinating Flower Country
2.08: Granship - The Merely Vanished and Disappearing Country
2.09: Eizenburg - The Civil War Country
2.12: Eternia - The Subzero Tundra, the Immortal Arctic Country
Only changes I made:
2.08 (沈みそうな国): "The Sinking Country" - because that's literally what it says
2.12 (不死の国): "The Immortal Country" - because the word arctic is not present

What's this "magic sound effect" that almost every song starts with? It's driving me nuts.

Yeah, I adore that final battle song. Love how it pulls everything together.
