@nextday: Where do these arranger credits come from? I'm looking at the booklet, which very clearly distinguishes between tracks which have been arranged and tracks that are not. And the arranged ones are only a few.

Taken from the digital release on e-onkyo.

I think e-onkyo has just copied information to the other two tags (Artist and Arranged-By) whenever only the Composed-By was available.

EDIT: Fixed (including some other stuff)

That's not how it works though. The information is submitted by the publisher (in this case, Sleigh Bells).

Many albums on e-onkyo don't have arrangement credits.

Well, errors can happen. In this case the booklet is very clear. Except if Procyon issues an official booklet correction, I would not go with e-onkyo on this one.

EDIT: Added some explanation in the notes for now.

Based on the explanation you added, there's nothing blatantly erroneous about the digital credits. All the composer and arranger credits match the booklet. The digital release simply fills in the blank on the tracks that have no arranger credit. Am I understanding this correctly?

No, the booklet says that these tracks were not arranged. This is a difference to e-onkyo, which indicates that _every_ track was arranged.

It's common for soundtracks to omit the arranger credit when the composer is the same.

I had wondered why Mitsuda handed off what little he contributed to Abounnasr for arrangement, and scenario writer Masato Kato explains why:
Quote:
Masato Kato: The director and producer at the time had strongly urged for the Mitsuda-Kato combo. When I contacted Mitsuda-san about it, he told me that his schedule was fully booked for the foreseeable future with anime and game song compositions. He was under no circumstances capable of participating in a brand new title.

Regardless, I asked the impossible: if he could somehow do just the title song along with a few other tracks while his apprentices Mariam Abounnasr and Shunsuke Tsuchiya from Procyon Studio composed the rest.
