Members like Ramza, Chris and Arcubalis already posted the well written articles in their respective sites, but I'll detail it later.

Wow, that was some pretty blatant lifting. Then again, the SRW series tends to use characters and music from all kinds of sources (though mostly mechs), but I assume they obtain permission whenever they do that.

Gosh, this guy is on some great Super Nes soundtracks, like Super Bonk and Great Battle V. I wonder why he had to resort to that (and if he's done it all along). From the look of the credits abruptly stopping at 2008 I also wonder if the publicity has affected his ability to get music work. There are plenty of video game music ripoffs (my favorite is Tim Follin putting the Starsky and Hutch theme music in Treasure Master) but usually they aren't lifting from other video games.

So I'm assuming this guy is the "Ken-chan" credited in the Genesis version of Power Rangers?
I wonder who P. E. Young is.. |

Hiroshi Ebihara, probably.

Hiroshi Ebihara is also credited as "H. P. Ebihara" for composition in Guilty Gear Judgment, so the "P. E." part is perhaps not too farfetched. I haven't found any other evidence that they're the same since making that post, though.

Would that likely be the same Ebihara that is allegedly credited in http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?...&selected=3262 Whirlo? It does have a similar sound to some of the other games mentioned. But it leaves me curious anew who "Nakanobu" is.
ehhhhhhhhhdit Probably http://vgmdb.net/artist/593 Nobuyuki Nakamura, who did the music for the sequel to Super Bonk. I suppose this was not so big of a mystery! Last edited by Garnobium; Aug 13, 2015 at 12:04 PM. |
