Why did they choose to release this soundtrack, so long after the game came out? Perhaps they are surprised by the attention that the Siren 1 remake received.. perhaps it is a sign that Siren 2 will also get remade?

Nonetheless I have this pre-ordered. Can't wait!

According to composer Hitomi Shimizu, Sony has received a lot of requests for publishing the music of the Siren series. Team Entertainment will even be releasing an OST for Forbidden Siren after the albums for Siren 2 and New Translation are out. Apparently in Japan the Siren theme (奉神御詠歌) is very popular. Anyway, there is some more information about the album releases on the Siliconera composer interview.
