If this isn't a full soundtrack with specific composer breakdown I swear I'm gonna start a riot.

God I hope this isn't a repeat of this worthless excuse for a disc:

Rather, I hope for something more like this!

As much as I want that too, I don't think it'll happen. All Reggie said was "the game's official soundtrack as a pre-order bonus", and I can't think of a time Nintendo's given a composer breakdown when they give out a CD with a game. I'm just happy that they're at least giving the OST, that is, assuming it's not just a sound selection with a few songs. I'd really hate for that to be the case.

Most likely, it is. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Unfortunately that might be true. It seems as of lately that Nintendo only gives composition details when there is a huge music production involved like Mario Kart 8 or Splatoon (except the fatal flaw of Super Mario 3D World). If the HD remake keeps the original OST, it may be more likely that they won't care about that.
Well, I guess it will be more fun trying to guess composers when this comes out XD (thanks to the Splatoon ost I have a more general idea about Toru Minegishi's style). I hope they at least do like Wind Waker HD and arrange a few songs at least.

I suspect this soundtrack will get the same treatment as Wind Waker HD which is a shame as, really, the music written for the game is crying out to be performed by an orchestra & choir. I'm living in hope that they decide to go down that route even if the chances of it happening are effectively nil.

I'm confused, what's wrong with The Wind Waker HD OST? At least it's a full soundtrack--I'm afraid this one is going to be more like the 7-track sampler soundtrack we got with the original LoZ:TP release.

Ok yeah I guess I wasn't clear there! I was talking about how they upgraded the soundtrack for Wind Waker HD which was fairly minimal especially when compared with what was done for the Kingdom Hearts HD remakes, for example.

But yes, I'd certainly take a full disc or two of music even if it's untouched from the GameCube/Wii if that's all they're offering.

Ah, gotcha--that makes much more sense! Yeah, I always feel like this game should've received the Super Mario Galaxy treatment with a fully orchestrated musical score. Hopefully this HD remake will give them the opportunity to do just that.

In fact, come to think of it, I believe the music in the reveal trailer was orchestrated. Hope!

So now we know that this is going to be a "sound selection" CD, as well as a GameStop exclusive, and we now know what the cover will look like.

Still have no info on the track list or track number, though, rather frustratingly.

Seems to be the same way Nintendo treated Wind Waker, which means 70+ min. of music (hopefully!) Better than the 7 track promo for sure.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a Japanese version since Japan seems to get all the Nintendo-related OSTs.

Sorry for the double post, but (assuming this isn't another 7-track sampler CD), what tracks from the game do you predict will be on the OST? Here are my predictions:

Spoiler:
1. Title
2. File Select
3. Prologue
4. Ordon Village
5. Battle
6. Ilia's Theme
7. Midna's Theme
8. Theme of Twilight
9. Twilight Battle
10. Faron Woods
11. Forest Temple
12. Ook Battle
13. Twilit Parasite: Diababa (First Half)
14. Twilit Parasite: Diababa (Second Half)
15. Ordon's Children in Peril
16. Hyrule Field Main Theme
17. Hyrule Field Night Theme
18. King Bulblin Battle
19. Kakariko Village
20. Death Mountain
21. Goron Mines
22. Twilit Igniter: Fyrus
23. Twilit Bloat Battle
24. Lake Hylia
25. Zora's Domain
26. Hyrule Castle Town
27. Horseback Escort
28. Lakebed Temple
29. Deku Toad Battle
30. Twilit Aquatic: Morpheel (First Half)
31. Twilit Aquatic: Morpheel (Second Half)
32. Midna's Lament
33. Sacred Grove
34. Fairy's Fountain
35. Gerudo Desert
36. Arbiter's Grounds
37. Death Sword Battle
38. Twilit Fossil: Stallord
39. Snowpeak
40. Snowpeak Ruins
41. Twilit Ice Mass: Blizzeta (First Half)
42. Twilit Ice Mass: Blizzeta (Second Half)
43. Temple of Time
44. Darknut Battle
45. Twilit Arachnid: Armogohma
46. Hidden Village
47. City in the Sky
48. Palace of Twilight
49. Usurper King: Zant
50. Hyrule Castle
51. The Castle Tower
52. Ganon's Puppet: Zelda
53. Dark Beast: Ganon
54. Ganondorf Horseback Battle
55. Dark Lord: Ganondorf
56. Ending
57. Credits

I know 57 tracks is a lot for a single disc (but TWW HD managed to fit in 51 so it's at least comparable), but these are the Twilight Princess essentials. I could also see A Wolf in Ordon Village, Hidden Skills Training, Rutela's Theme, or even Malo Mart making it in.

Finally, the CD's track list just dropped this morning:
http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/h...-selection-cd/

1. Title
2. Teaser Music #1
3. Ordon Village
4. Midna's Theme
5. Hyrule Field (Main Theme)
6. Light Spirit
7. Kakariko Village
8. Death Mountain
9. Queen Rutela's Theme
10. Lake Hylia
11. Boss Battle Part 3
12. Midna's Desperation
13. Sacred Grove
14. Malo Mart
15. Ilia's Theme
16. Hidden Village
17. Princess Zelda's Theme
18. Final Battle Part 4
19. Staff Roll Part 1
20. Teaser Music #2

Not quite as much as I wanted (and nowhere near what I predicted in my earlier post), but it's definitely an improvement over the 7-track CD from the original game's release. In particular, I'm glad we're getting Lake Hylia, Midna's Desperation (Lament?), and Hidden Village in CD form!

How good are the chances Nintendo will release a full or at least semi-full soundtrack to this game? Maybe through Tablier Communications or something? Would be awesome...

At a guess, I'd say the chances of this happening are approximately zero. =P

Source for the composer breakdown is the CD-Text data.

I have the European version of the disc, which has slightly different English track titles :

01 Title Theme
02 The Legend of Zelda: Orchestra Piece (Teaser Music) #1
03 Ordon Village
04 Midnas Theme
05 Hyrule Field Main Theme
06 Light Spirits Elegy
07 Kakariko Village
08 Death Mountain
09 Rutelas Theme
10 Lake Hylia
11 Boss Battle #3
12 Midnas Lament
13 Sacred Grove
14 Malo Mart
15 Ilias Theme
16 The Hidden Village
17 Zeldas Theme
18 Final Battle #4
19 Staff Credits Theme #1
20 The Legend of Zelda: Orchestra Piece (Teaser Music) #2

... but I'll let someone else create the new tracklist (and album page if needed), because the last time I tried to do something like that, I broke everything ^^

One track by Asuka Ohta, and not even an original theme?

I'll add the tracklist though.

EU disc has its own catalog it seems (WUP-AZAP-EUR), another entry should be in order. And move the EU scans too I guess since this was supposed to be the NA entry.

Are the arrange credits taken from the game, and for all tracks?

Sorry, I did not see that this was the NA release while uploading the scans and that the EU release was missing

Nice to have a few more song composers confirmed, but ultimately this is disappointing.
