@ladatree why using the 2 digital from itunes when mora and ototoy use 1 digital also used in the notes (using disc for digital is such an idiocy)

As usual with Square Enix's digital releases, the composers are credited but not the arrangers.

However, Shotaro Shima and Ryu Furukawa have both detailed their contribution, though not precisely enough for us to add complete credits:

Shima said he arranged tracks 1, 2, 3, 13 and some of the "Result" tracks (9-10-11).

Furukawa said he arranged tracks 6, 7, 8, 14 and a few more.

@Phonograph
Not all stores support multiple "discs". mora, for example doesn't, while iTunes does. When distributors submit releases as multiple discs to stores that support them, that is assumed to be the intention. Granted, this release is actually a bit weird because OTOTOY does actually support multiple discs and they didn't submit it that way there.

@Zanasea
SQUARE ENIX provides arranger for all their current digital releases (older ones may be missing info). It's just that very few stores choose to show these credits to the end user.

For releases that are available as Hi-Res you can see this information on e-onkyo (e.g. https://www.e-onkyo.com/music/album/sqex501362/).

mora's metadata includes this information for both AAC and Hi-Res SQUARE ENIX releases (e.g. from this release https://cf.mora.jp/contents/package/...ckageMeta.json).

Toru Yamazaki also worked on this game but his contributions are not on this album.

This is great to hear. I'm still mad at platforms, though, lol
Especially on Spotify, this is very misleading for games such as FFVII Remake, where people unaware of the actual sound team are led to believe Uematsu worked extensively on the soundtrack.

One listen thru FFVIIRs OST shold make it abundantly clear that NU didn't work on it...

As mediocre as the game itself.

Not sure about 1st Soldier. But I bet it'll fall short off FFVII's legacy.

Talking about "falling".
As Katsuo Ohno seemingly is stepping out of the composing tango (an info from my old yt friend LordM2A):

Wasn't NU also said to play the retirement game ?

If I'm not mistaken, the one new piece Uematsu wrote for the Remake is the track "Hollow Skies", onto other things, kind of funny to read that you found the OST to be mediocre, since a good chunk of it is comprised of arrangements of Uematsu's work. Oh, well… de gustibus.
