JASRAC (the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers) has a database query service, the link flybefly posted, used to find music copyright/composer/arranger/etc info.

More directly: http://www2.jasrac.or.jp/eJwid/main?trxID=F00100
There are a bunch of options but what you want is the second (title), third (copyright holder/composer) and sometimes fourth (artist) rows.

Put an album or track name in the "title" box, or a name in the third, and press enter, using Japanese or sometimes in JASCII (regular ASCII usually won't work).
Often no info or just the general copyright holder is listed (ex.- "Capcom Sound Team"; depends on who submitted the info I think) but sometimes you hit the jackpot with detailed credits for albums that the booklet omits, it's great.

After becoming acquainted with this cool little soundtrack, I'm very impressed. It's one of the better RPG scores I've heard (it is an RPG, right?), and certainly one of the best Saturn OSTs out there.

Both composers put out an excellent effort, although I prefer Wachi's contributions. Her work here is no less stunning than in Panzer, which proves that it was no fluke. That begs the question--has Ms. Wachi really only scored two games? Surely there are others. Sega has really discovered some amazing musicians in its time.

It seems Wachi also worked on the Game Gear Rayearth game, which preceded the Saturn one, as "Y.Wachi."

More tenuous possibilities: "Yayoi.F" composed Sonic Triple Trouble, and there's a "Watch" in the credits of Formula One World Championship: Beyond The Limit and the Game Gear version of Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba.

.
Not really an RPG -- it's more like Zelda/Alundra/etc, I don't believe there are levels or anything.

Track 32, the ending theme, also includes a portion of Seirou Okamoto's "Foliate Seas by the Lake", so he should be given composition credit for it (although Wachi is still the arranger and main composer).

After watching some gameplay videos, it's clear that this album is not complete (possibly far from it). This makes me sad. We need a game rip, stat!

The game had a lot of CD audio, IIRC, so I'd wager that may be what's missing.

Yeh, there's at least one of Matsuo's songs from the MKR anime in there. There's an SSF rip of the music which has a few more songs than the original soundtrack, if you want to seek that out. I did once attempt tagging it but never finished for reasons I can't recall. If it's any use:

TOWER_000 = Tokyo Tower
DUNGEON1_000 = Forest of Silence
FERIO1_000 = Ferio the Hurricane
FERIO2_000 = Ferio the Hurricane
BOSS1_000 = A Monster Appears
EVENT04_000 = Heartbeat
ETERNA_000 = Fantastic Eterna
MURA1_00 = The Magic Curtain of Polizu
DUNGEON2_000 = Tempting Cave
BOSS2_000 = A Strong Monster Appears!
MURA8_000 = Taflon by the Sea
MURA82_000 = Taflon by the Sea
DUNGEON3_000 = Great Whirlpool
DUNGEON4_000 = Eternal Ice Cave
EVENT09_000 = Sadness
EVENT12_000 = The Legendary Mashin
SEMINAR_000 = Mysterious Cefiro Lecture
MURA4_000 = White Ice of Rosen
EVENT07_000 = Tranquility
TOKKUN_000 = Special Training
BOSS3_000 = An Even Stronger Monster Appears!
MURA5_000 = Whispering Woods
DUNGEON6_000 = Distant Lake by the Sea of Trees
RAINBOW_000 = Old Man Rainbow's Shop
EVENT02_000 = Sneaking Around
MURA7_000 = Sky Garden Aueria
DUNGEON7_000 = Heaven's Labyrinth
DUNGEON5_000 = Volcano Where the Truth Sleeps
BOSS4_000 = Zegato!
EVENT13_000 = Tragedy
BOSS5_000 = Final Decisive Battle
EVENT11_000 = Toward the Future...
CASTLE_000 = ???
CLEF_000 = ???
ENDING_000 = ???
FALL_000 = ???
EVENT01_000 = ??? (from anime)
DUNGEON0_000 = doesn't play
EVENT05_000 = doesn't play
EVENT071_000 = doesn't play
EVENT074_000 = doesn't play

No redbook audio in the rip though, so I don't know about that.

Can't say I'm the largest fan of this score, but Taflon by the Sea, Foliate Seas by the Lake and Old Man's Rainbow Shop are longtime favorites from my time with the game. Yes, I was actually still doing a bit of tape recording from the TV back in 1998.

I was actually quite happy to settle for an SM version of the soundtrack. It's pretty rare. I'm glad to see the value of the game has skyrocketed. I can probably get $200 for it nowadays. But I might want to replay it someday...

Yeah, this album doesn't seem to enjoy a lot of appeal (actually I never encountered any aside from one single post in this thread), but it's one of my favorite scores so I would love to hear those extra tracks.

But I don't think this album is rare nor sought after, or where you talking about the SM version?

Anyway, nice to see a thread dedicated to this album, even if there is hardly any talk of the music itself. ^_^

It's rare, but probably not sought after.

The $200 comment was about the game itself. I was one of the lucky people who bought it when it launched (I have the Fuu disc).
