Hello, I've added this album to the database. I've done what I could, with what I know. Could anyone help me give it the finishing touches? Thank you, I appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It looks like you just pasted the Japanese Wikipedia info into Google Translate and copied it here. Can you try to do it properly?

For names, you can enter the kanji in the VGMdb search bar to find the correct romanization. If nothing turns up, just leave the name in Japanese. Never guess the reading.

I've removed the stuff from the entry in the meantime. Can still be found here if needed.

Thanks for your help, you two! I will try when I can to give it another try to make a bit better. Though I still don't fully know how to make the best possible in VGMDb due to not fully knowing how it works, but I will try my best to make it the most complete and leave you just the finishing touch I cannot achieve.

Hello, I have added again the cast in performers. All names are romanized as they should, taken exactly from the English wikipedia, so I don't see anything wrong with that. Coincidentally, that's how it was yesterday. The parts that were copypasted from the Google Translator was mostly the STAFF part in the notes and partially everything else but performers. I have added the CAST and their characters in the Notes, I think that's fine as it is.

There's more to add, but I need help. Apparently there's an IMAGE SONG as the last track, which is sung by WATER//COLOR, that's pretty much how the singer or the band is called. About the music composer for BGM, Google Translator did gave me a correctly romanized name, but I didn't add it because I'm not sure. Same with anything else regarding to

Could you guys help me with the last details to add that need doublechecking that I haven't added yet, from the JP Wikipedia entry, like the CD STAFF, and the composers and music performers, arrangers and such? I'd much appreciate it.

The song is a cover of The Tempters 7th single (1969):
Lyrics: Rei Nakanishi [なかにし礼]
Composition: Hiroshi Kamayatsu [かまやつひろし]
Arrangement: Michitoshi Hirose [広瀬充寿]

1969 original arrangement was by Makoto Kawaguchi [川口真].

So vocal and arrangement should be added to classification.

Thank you for your contribution, should I add those names to the entry like that?

Just for the next time since someone else already fixed this, but the names as they are on English Wikipedia are most likely not fine. That's why we explained the proper way to romanize them.

Yeah, English Wikipedia is unfortunately not reliable for names. They also use a different romanization system which is different from ours.

Some general things to know about our romanization system:
- No macrons or circumflexes.
- Particles are romanized as: wa (は), e (へ), wo (を)
- Katakana loan words should use the original spelling. i.e. christmas instead of kurisumasu
- For names, short vowels are preferred. i.e. tokyo instead of toukyou

Though we always follow the official spelling, if one can be found, so there are cases of non-standard romanization (oo/ou as oh, hyphenation, etc.).

It would probably be a good idea to have an official reference in the Guides/FAQ forum, but there isn't one at this time.

should? knowing some loanwords aren't "loanwordized"
I guess thema is really not a good idea, but I never understood why some loanwords from a non-english language are "translated" and not romanized
an example coming in mind is These (direct romaji of テーゼ, german) that is systematically romanized in its english counterpart that is Thesis (Zankoku na Tenshi no These is correct, not Z~ no Thesis)

I thought making a romanization guide but honestly if it's for taking the dust somewhere on the numerous shelves of vgmdb, no need since nobody reads "existing" guides

I suppose does get it bit confusing when it comes to loan words, considering Japan has borrowed words from many different languages (german, portuguese, russian, english, etc.). I would speculate that it became common practice to translate them to English due to English being the most prominent language.

And even though guidelines aren't read by many, it's still probably important to have them. If only so they can be pointed to whenever someone asks about it.
