It seems the data track is not listed, so I will create a new tracklist and rename the one we already have to English NDT. The track number 19 is the data track.
Code:
TOC of the extracted CD Track | Start | Length | Start sector | End sector --------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 0:00.00 | 2:53.12 | 0 | 12986 2 | 2:53.12 | 2:56.18 | 12987 | 26204 3 | 5:49.30 | 3:45.42 | 26205 | 43121 4 | 9:34.72 | 4:09.53 | 43122 | 61849 5 | 13:44.50 | 3:53.27 | 61850 | 79351 6 | 17:38.02 | 3:42.60 | 79352 | 96061 7 | 21:20.62 | 2:15.00 | 96062 | 106186 8 | 23:35.62 | 2:56.23 | 106187 | 119409 9 | 26:32.10 | 3:46.05 | 119410 | 136364 10 | 30:18.15 | 3:16.10 | 136365 | 151074 11 | 33:34.25 | 4:16.57 | 151075 | 170331 12 | 37:51.07 | 3:27.65 | 170332 | 185921 13 | 41:18.72 | 1:17.73 | 185922 | 191769 14 | 42:36.70 | 3:18.20 | 191770 | 206639 15 | 45:55.15 | 6:49.00 | 206640 | 237314 16 | 52:44.15 | 0:10.50 | 237315 | 238114 17 | 52:54.65 | 0:10.22 | 238115 | 238886 18 | 53:05.12 | 0:09.73 | 238887 | 239634 19 | 55:47.10 | 4:26.09 | 251035 | 270993 |

These TOC listings are pretty helpful. Which version of EAC do you use to create them?

The newest EAC version "Exact Audio Copy V0.99 prebeta 5 (including CDRDAO and Flac packages) last changed on 07.05.09". I'm not sure if older versions used to do this, it's automatic created after extraction is done, it is written inside the log file. I think you need to set something to appear this way, not sure if the default configuration does it. I'm using Windows 7 XP Mode, because for some strange reason EAC does not work on Windows 7, well EAc works on Windows 7 but for some strange reason does not detect my CD drives. This XP mode is quite handy.

I have checked some old rips using different EAC versions, older versions used to do that, now I'm not sure which version it started. We have to check the developer's log to find that out. I'm almost certain that newer EAC versions do it by default. I can't say the same concerning older EAC versions. EAC fanatics could help us on this one.

Does anybody have any info on B.B Rights or Toronto?I'd like to find more music from them, but there isn't much info about them.

No real evidence, but I think they both may be Hideki Naganuma.

Hideki Naganuma says Toronto isn't him, and the only non-licensed tracks were Richard Jaques, his and Toronto tracks (so B.B Rights would be an external person/group). >>
Maybe an alias of somebody from Sega? The iTunes release (which apparently was remastered) only has tracks from those 3, too. |

Tomonori Sawada's old Wave Master profile says he did sound effects and BGM for JSR but he's not credited in the game under his real name, so "Toronto" might be him.

Shunsuke Kida's BASiLiCA works list says he composed Mischievous Boy, so I guess he's "Michael Harrison" http://www.basilica.site/creator/26/

I'm looking into it further and Michael Harrison is also credited on JSRF (in-game as Michael Harrison / OST as Mic Harrison), which is NOT on Kida's works list, so maybe it's not quite as clear-cut as that. Harrison is absolutely the only songwriter credited for Mischievous Boy though, and Kida's tweeted about the song too, so there's not a whole lot of wiggle room there beyond it maybe being a collaborative alias. The nicest explanation would be that the works list is just incomplete.
Incidentally, Kida identified the vocalist as Yoshika Sekine of Shiko Dobutsu and said the main voice line is "chameleon machine": https://twitter.com/ShunsukeKida/sta...77295675248640 Quote:

Would anyone be able to tell me what SMILEBIT.EXE installs on your PC? I tried running the file, but it took forever to launch the installer and the installer text was almost entirely question marks.
EDIT: Just to clarify, this is one of the files in the data track, located in the LAUNCHER folder. Since its Modified timestamp is October 31 of 2000, I doubt it will run on any modern Windows OS (Would likely need Windows Millennium or XP). Last edited by Damned; Oct 29, 2021 at 01:02 AM. |
