Default Metroid Prime OST Remastered
EDIT: In case anybody isn't aware of it, this thread was created to talk about the legitimacy of two new entries (presumably added by the person who also posted the thread below in STC), both of which was rejected by consensus.

KeyLogic also has to agree. Me has seen some people attempt to "remaster" game rips and soundtracks alike but they are not from an official source (composer, copyright holder, ect) nor is this considered a Doujin/Indie, therefore, not worth an entry here.

What is "the box" that people are supposed to think outside of anyway? Hmm. Maybe it's similar to the Borg from Star Trek who dwelled as a collective hive-mind within a...box/cube. Those that deviated from this hive-mind would, in effect, be thinking outside of the box. it has both a figurative and a literal meaning.

This guy sounds OCD to the max. Probably means it's pretty good, but I'll have to listen to find out for sure. The part where he renders digital music on analog equipment and converts it back to digital sounds counter-intuitive.

Anyway, this is not what I would consider worthy of an album entry.

I'm no expert on the subject of mastering, but it doesn't sound better to me at all. It sounds too.. airy and compressed or something.

Well, with two massively lossy steps (DAC and ADC) added this simply can't sound better *lol*
