Hideyuki Ashizawa and def is the same person. I don't have enough experience to be able to convert def entry to his alias though...
Also sadly it looks like he has stopped producing music and his last tweet was quite depressing...

I tried to find some links between def and Ashizawa and got nothing.

Checking around, before his twitter account became seized by russian pornbots, he posted ~1 year ago he got sudden deafness. He'd be doing 3D CG design, which was a hobby of his. Whoa.

which confirms that def_house studio = def.

BTW it looks like he has actually returned to the world of music since he has posted new tracks on his soundcloud page (which he has renamed from https://soundcloud.com/defhousestudio to https://soundcloud.com/hideyukiashizawa)

Yup, they're the same. Merged the entries.

For reference, I couldn't find any web pages saying that Ashizawa worked on NITRO ROYALE, but he's credited for writing the original system BGM in the staff roll (28:47), so that plus the bio blurb for RESIGN confirms Ashizawa = def.
