I don't have this soundtrack, but is Oasis on here under a different name?
I think I picked this track up from GFF best vgm contest and it is phenomenal. Rest of soundtrack live up to that track? |

"Oasis" by The Humble Brothers hasn't been released on any SimCity soundtrack. However it is found on one of The Humble Brothers' 'compilation' albums, specifically CINEMATIX, which is awesome and doesn't have a single weak track.
This particular 2007 release doesn't contain any of The Humble Brothers' contributions to the game's audio. Missing is "Terrain" and "Epicentre" which are both found on the 2003 soundtrack release. They're both phenomenal and are two of my favourite SimCity 4 (disregarding Rush Hour) tracks, along with the heavenly "Shape Shifter" and of course "Oasis". If you take the Rush Hour audio into account, which includes masterpieces like "Wheels of Progress", "The Morning Commute" and "Deserted", then SimCity 4's music is probably better than that of SimCity 3. However comparing just 3 & 4, then I think 3 has the edge ("Magic City" ). In any case, in answer to your question: yes! The BGM in SimCity 4 is almost universally spectacular. |
