I'm not really sure what the "「殺」時BGM" in the names of tracks 7, 15, 19, 29, and 32 means. I looked at a walkthrough and some gameplay videos and still couldn't figure it out.

Here's a selection:

圧殺 (crushing to death)
暗殺 (assassination)
必殺 (certain kill)
惨殺 (slaughter; massacre)
射殺 (shooting to death)
集団自殺 (group suicide)
活殺 (life and death)

So yeah, definitely something to do with death or killing.

Is it a good idea to credit an illegal download site for translations? I don't know what my opinion is, but I think it is a worthwhile debate, especially if VGMdb is interested in official recognition.

Good point. We've actually discussed about this (privately or publicly), and we at least shouldn't add the link (and the site name, when it is too bald).

Considering the issue further, I think it'd be better to remove site names altogether if they promote file-sharing, since it is still partly promoting and legitimising them. If worthy of credit at all, perhaps it'd be better to solely credit the translators rather than the sites. From my casual observations, there seems to be a philosophy in the file-sharing community that the work of the sites and the contributors that offer illegal material deserves to be credited and thanked. Regardless of my own thoughts on file-sharing, I find this somewhat hypocritical considering they are essentially stealing in the first place and don't think this backwards philosophy should be promoted here. And besides, various file-sharing sites often use VGMdb's own translations without credit anyway.

Yeah, I think we're at a point now where it doesn't make sense to credit #gamemp3s for translations for all of the reasons Chris mentions. We should remove the credit, or replace with a real screen-name.
