SQEX-20025: HEAVENSWARD: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack
Should the secret tracks be added for the FFXIV albums? There has usually been 1 or 2 in every album so far except for maybe Before Meteor.
The Bonus Tracks include orchestral renditions of "A New Hope" & "Torn from the Heavens" I believe. Last edited by xakdrek; Feb 26, 2016 at 03:02 AM. |

Have these bonus tracks appeared in the game (as these new, orchestral versions)?

The bonus tracks have not appeared in game, nor do I expect them to ever.

- Added performer credits from inserts
- The arrangers are listed in the credits as "Additional Composers" but I did not add them all to the composer field because none of the individual tracks credit them as composers. Just arrangers. - "2st Violin" is sic per album notes. - The bonus tracks are in Dolby 5.1 so added that note |

Unlike the Before the Fall soundtrack, where the booklet listed the tracks by patch, this one does not say which tracks specifically come from Patch 3.1 "As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness". Does anyone know?

Thanks very much! You're 100% all of those weren't introduced till then?
I thought "Sins of the Father, Sins of the Son", "Locus" and "Metal" must be from 3.1 too, because they're associated with the Burden of the Father raid (at least, FF Wiki says "Metal" is; it's blank on the other two, but they sound like they're related to it) and I thought that was introduced in 3.1, but was I confused about that? |

Ah, the Alexander raid was introduced 2 weeks after the launch of Heavensward, meaning it's technically part of the expansion itself.

Ah. And you're sure of the rest? The Wiki says "Heroes Never Die" is King Thordan's battle theme before he uses his ultimate attack, so if you've listed it here then I guess the King Thordan battle must be in Patch 3.1, and says that "Heroes" is the battle theme after he uses the attack. So "Heroes" must be from 3.1 too, right? Or did you not list it because it also appears earlier? I take it "Dragonsong" appears before the patch?

"Heroes Never Die" was introduced in patch 3.1 as the battle music for Thordan's Reign (the hard mode for Heavensward's final battle). "Heroes" was the music for the original final battle in 3.0.
"Dragonsong" plays during the Heavensward ending credits. |
