Interesting. I'm assuming since it's only 2 CDs that this means the DIVA mode (Miku Hatsune) versions by people such as sasakure.UK, etc. will be released separately.

Noticed a recent edit adding Miku Hatsune as a performer. I believe that this soundtrack features only Yuzo Koshiro's original soundtrack (i.e. no Miku Hatsune). All those Miku Hatsune tracks take Yuzo Koshiro's originals and various artists (like sasakure.UK) arranging them. I'd reject that edit for now until the album comes out, given it does not seem, at the moment, to feature anything but Koshiro's soundtrack. The opening theme by sasakure.UK might be on there, but until the album comes out, we should just wait to confirm the presence of Miku on the soundtrack.

Thanks for checking this. I've rejected the edit. We'll see what's on there when more information is available.
EDIT - The edit also added Sasakure-P as a composer (hidden because the links override). I gather this is also unconfirmed for now. |

Yes, according to one of the blog posts for the game, the Miku versions are arranged by around 12 different people. The scope of the game seems to be the same, so it's logical to assume that the OST will be two discs long, like the last game, before the bonus 8bit version (or in this case, the Miku version)

Tracklist came from CDJapan's website.

Would someone be able to provide a tentative English translation?

I generally trust hatsumi's translation, but as for 1-03, "疾く" = "速く" = "speedily", and "ことごとく" here is supposed to be as an adverb to stress the speed (an attempt for literally translating this phrase wouldn't work, as with some of Etrian Odyssey track names).

Yeah, some tracks need work (荒神=miraculous spirit?) and others are references to the previous game which weren't translated with that in mind.
I'll revise this and the original later if nobody goes first. The game also has official English chapter titles that maybe are used for some tracks, but I haven't played so much. Ok revised. Notes::
EDIT: some shots here: http://game.girldoll.org/?eid=467 Other than the Miku opening (here) and Miku's version of the songs, it's missing a 3 sec game over jingle. Oh well. 2.15 is unused, I think. Last edited by Dag; Jan 6, 2012 at 04:49 AM. |
