Is there a reason that the opening theme is present in this album as well? That just doesn't seem right to me.

I don't suspect there's any reason for it. I guess it's a NIPPON COLUMBIA thing. They did the same thing for Beast Saga and Saint Seiya Omega.

except saint seiya omega ost 1 has op1 and ost 2 has op2 (bad example)
not only nippon columbia, I have in mind ray the animation ost 1 and ost 2 both with the op and ed

Omega OST2 also has OP1, even though OST1 had it too. Which is why I included it.

ah, you mean that sort of full version
I wonder if it won't be used in the anime at a certain moment, possibly as insert song or special ending (nothing on wiki about that)
maybe ost 3 will get full of op2 (but it makes a while I know columbia is a weird publisher)
