Thank you! Seems Jun Endo wrote the liner notes. I can't find any info on this Hiroyuki Nishimura who (more likely than Nobuteru Yuki) did the production art inside. Shibata really should have done more piano arrangements with Brandish (3 and VT/4 have a lot of potential).

A follow-up would have been great. Brandish Piano Collection 2. I'd buy the crap out of it.

This album also has a registration card, for which we don't have a scan. An auction which included the registration card is this one:

I think my copy has that... we typically do not scan registration cards in our packaging scans. I think that's policy...? Maybe?

It seems common to add the registration card under the headings "Registration Card Front" and "Registration Card Back". An example is this album:

Hmm... that's literally the first time I've seen it included in our scans. I suppose it's not an awful thing to include. But it's the most common item to be thrown out (or used when first purchased if the first purchaser was Japanese).

Thanks for fixing those. They've been mistranslated for a couple of decades.

Also I haven't played Brandish 2 so I'm not sure what the context is, but being a rather upbeat jazz piece (sounds like it would play in a bar scene) I'm tempted to retranslate it as "Johnny the Tramp" or "Johnny the Vagabond." Thoughts?

Vagabond does sound more likely but I haven't played the game either.

It's the main menu theme, believe it or not

Phono said ジョニー can have a meaning of "rebel," so it could be referring to Ares wandering into and fighting against the kingdom of Bundevia? Just spitballing

A quick google search didn't show any signs of there being a character called ジョニー in the game, so could be something like that.

宿無し literally means "without a house/lodging" and it can mean homeless but also those other things. "Rebel" doesn't really encompass the wanderer spirit imo, so I'd be more in favor of "vagabond."

While at it, 死して屍拾う者無し is actually a line from the opening narration of a famous ninja period piece series. It basically means their secrets die with them.

Done, both here and on the OST. Also fixed up some typos and format issues over there.
