Mh, I wonder if this one even does exist? All I can find on Japanese sites are supposedly import versions. Any proof for the catalog number on this release?

I haven't seen neither of those in the wild. Your cover variant could be one of the 'logo sticker' which is advertised on the obi.

EDIT: Okay, if I read this correctly the Japanese release (this one) is a re-packaged version of the (back then) already released overseas version

Finally found one for sale and it was even sealed. Now gonna shed some light on this one very soon It has indeed the cover from the CD Japan listing.

As expected this is a repackaged version of SE-2037-2 which comes with an oversized obi, two stickers and a Japanese booklet. Added scans for everything.

I've seen rebranded items before but this approach to take a US release and slap an obi on it is rather uncommon if you ask me. Pretty cool item

I feel like I’ve seen it quite a bit on movie soundtracks and pop/rock CDs. It’s referred to as 輸入国内盤仕様.
