This is certainly a really obscure album. It's a Swedish release, apparently released by Nintedo/Arcade. I have no idea about what this really IS. But I take it that it's an arrangement because it's got Nintendo and Mario printed all over it...

Here's the auction for it (up for another 14 hours from now):

There's no helpful information there at all though...

Well this seems to be another one of those compilations that doesn't really have much to do with game music, apart from the 'Ambassadors of Funk' track. Most likely it's just using Mario as a sales-trick to peddle a random collection of pop music. These kinds of compilations were somewhat common in Sweden back in '90s, as I recall.

By the way, the sticker on the front reads "Win the new Nintendo 64".

This kind of release was not so uncommon in the '90s all over the Europe.
This one could be a sequel of Donkey Kong Hits.. they even used the same track on both releases.

When the Eurodance invaded that part of the world, there have been numerous CD that used video games characters as a promotion (while it does not have anything to do with video games).
Characters such as Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong, Wario, Lara Croft were "used" that way.
Most common series could be the Sonic Dance series, but we should not put them up on the database, as these soundtracks does not have a single VGM related track (unlike here, at least they used 1 track from super mario land)
