Are these arrangements? I'm listening to the samples and it sounds like NSF recordings, with no changes made. If there's anything, it's so minor it's barely noticeable.
Some songs are slowed down, but any NSF player can slow down with the press of a button, infact, I just reproduced one of the songs heard in the samples just to check.

Yeah, i have been discussing that with a friend.
I never had a NES in my life so i am not used to its sound, but i listened to the samples too and was telling myself "this is a complete rip-off".. (Makell Bird friend?)

So i was hesitating to post that album..
Now, it's still officially released on iTunes, Amazon, emusic & many other digital stores.

Sadly, iTunes and Amazon have a habit of accepting rips like this.

Yeah it's pure NSF rips. He used the NSFPlug to slow down the tracks here and there and added SFX from the games. Maybe you should label it as bootleg

Hmm, should have been a "doujin/fan made", but if it's a bootleg it can't be both..
I am not sure if there is a previous entry of a "fake" doujin album so far.

I'll let other staff members think about it, maybe we could also delete it like makel bird rip-offs/scams..

In a sense, doesn't this qualify as a remix album (though not a very good one)? I thought a remixer generally took an original game theme, and added some tracks on top of it.

Well this seems to be just another Makell Bird-ish ploy to make some quick bucks, as Akumu attests to in the first post, no effort went into this "production".
