where does that 'Q' keep coming from, is this just some silly English convention or is this one of those "official nickname"-type things

I removed 'Original Soundtrack' classification from the other entry, as we weren't informed yet what it would covered (one official blog entry implies it will cover some prototype tracks like the first game, though).

MeiQ seems to be the official equivalent in English of '迷宮', and all previous albums were added under this name. We had multiple relevant discussion threads like this one.

On the other hand, we may need to make a consensus on romanization (as well as capitalization) because I was not sure which we should go with, Meikyu or Meikyuu... (that was why I didn't add the romanized title to the #3 lines of other albums).

Purely from a search standpoint, "meikyuu" is preferable since it'll show up when people search for either "meikyu" or "meikyuu".

And yes, "MeiQ" is the official transcription. You can see it in some of the booklets.

Okay, so I'll add "Meikyuu" to the 3rd lines of every Etrian Odyssey entries.

I assume this will be delayed about a month since the game doesn't come out until April 1st, now?

Would anyone be willing to translate the tracklist?

Sure. If others want to comment on the translation...

Btw, I translated 街景 as "townscape" instead of simply "town" like other SnM albums since it seemed more appropiate. I'll update other tracklists if nobody objects.

Really good soundtrack. Thanks Dag for the titles, mentioned you in OSV's review.

Isn't this soundtrack missing the translation from what is between the brackets (like the rest of the other Sekaiju no MeiQ soundtrack) of the Japanese tracklist?

English tracklist update:

Disc 1
M1: Beginning, to correspond with the translation from EO2
M2: Adventurer's --> Explorers. Also, really like the "Townscape" translation, and moved it to EO1/2
M2: localization
M4: verbiage
M6: verbiage, removed plurality
M7: localization
M8: Menace --> Threat
M9: is --> Is, old Englished "the Enemy's" --> "Thy Enemies'"
M14: localization
M15: verbiage, slightly better translation
M17: localization

Disc 2

M2: verbiage, slightly better translation
M3: Thousand --> Hundred; localization
M4: localization
M8: verbiage, slightly better translation
M9: localization
M12: Departure --> Adventure (inferred, slightly less literal)

Disc 2 M13 ~ end: repeat above updates.

I love it when composers do unexpected things like this:

Yuzo Koshiro made a special track for EO's 14th Anniversary...

EO3's Battlefield 1st Campaign theme (track 4) arranged in Thunder Cross (Konami) shooting style!! Freaking awesome!

"Scatter About/To Fall is Fair/the reused boss music from EO2" is set to be replaced by a new headbanging song in the upcoming HD remaster.

Early this morning US time, Atlus had a 3.5 hour pre-release livestream for the HD Remaster. This included 2 musical interludes with Yuzo Koshiro, Noriyuki Kamikura and Daisuke Miyazaki performing arrangements from the series. The first section starts at 29:52, and the second section kicks off with the brand new 戦場 露と消えよ (presumably the replacement tune I mentioned in the previous post) at 3:04:04.

Koshiro also joins the panel discussion beginning at 1:13:15.
