Pleasantly surprised to come across this and Shovel Knight browsing Amazon JP. Just got this album today and as expected it is the same exact tracklist as the two volumes released separately through Big Wave in a 2-disc set. Also includes a thick booklet with a round table discussion with all the composers, which is very nice.

I don't get it, it seems this is being sold as 2 separate items (Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2), where one can choose either LP or CD release. So there should be 3 entries, with 3 separate CD releases, and they all have different cover/spinecard/cd art?

Are you talking about Japanese releases ?
If not there are already separate entries:
Ninja Gaiden 1 (CD)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (CD)
Ninja Gaiden 1 (Vinyl)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (Vinyl)
there are also a "1 & 2" digital, a "1 & 2" vinyls (4).
The "1 & 2" CD seems to be Japanese exclusive (this entry) ?

Ah... must be it thanks. I can still find the purchase page for the separate CDs, but nothing for this double CD that seems to be Japanese. Have you found any link for this entry? Looks nicer to have both inside a double jewel case... although I'm 99% sure it' sold out

the 1+2 cd is a completely different thing than the separate releases, while the 1+2 vinyls, if I understood right, is the same as the separate releases, with an exclusive box to hold both vinyls.

So I try ordering vol. 1 and 2 from the official websites:
note: I am located in europe

-Fangamer (US store): total 15$ + 15$ + 8.15$ shipping = 38.15$
- Bigwax (Europe store): total 15eur + 15eur + 6.5eur shipping = 36.5eur (45$)

What a joke!
Guess I'll buy from the US store and hope the customs won't ask for VAT+handling charges
