There was also a release in cassette form as part of the Final Fight: Double Impact press kit. Should the cassette be added as a child album or as a separate entry?

Did not know that, pretty cool stuff in the press-kit i must say.
The tape version should be added to the database, yes.

As a child if the release was later than the digital one.
As a parent if the press-kit was released before or the same day as the digital version.
As a separate entry if the content of the tape have any difference with the digital version.

Neat! I wasn't aware this was also released physically. But I wonder if the tracks were properly edited, though.

I'll pass on this one, as I can't find any infos about the release date But maybe someone else could add it to the database.

I don't think the tracks were edited for the tape, as the digital release is pretty short on each 'side' and I don't see no reason in altering the tracks.

I made the entry, but with some lacking informations:

- The released date is probably hard to set.. But capcom announced they sent the press-kits the 8th of April.
- Tracklist.. i hope they did not add anything in the digital version.. i only copy/pasted the digital release tracklist.

I was referencing to the fact most tracks end abruptly (no fade out).

Simon Viklund himself mentioned (on his site I beleive) that he only did the arrangement of the Final Fight soundtracks. Magic Sword soundtracks arrangement was handled by Trond-Viggo Melssen & Erik Thunberg.

Sorry for bumping a quite-old thread, but this info can actually be found in an interview VGMO did with him: http://www.vgmonline.net/simonviklundinterview/

Chris: You also remixed two of their oldest soundtracks — Final Fight and Magic Sword — for Final Fight: Double Impact. What unique features of these soundtracks did you aim to bring out? Were many elaborations necessary?

Simon Viklund: Actually, Trond-Viggo Melssen and Erik Thunberg did the music for Magic Sword. After GRiN, these composers formed Fathom, which is a music production outsourcing company.
