The current scans have some funky watermarks, if somebody wants to upgrade them.

Oh and this album is awesome.

This album is a landmark in PSX soundtracks I think. Too bad it is one of those I don't actually own physically.

I'll take care of it, but as I'm inexperienced in scanning (moiré, noise, grimy glass, bad cropping, bad meta deta), the quality could still be improved. I wonder why he no longer revisits this style anymore, while Baroque is what Iwata himself called his biggest contribution as well as fan's very favorite.

I recently started listening to this album again after...a very long time and I had forgotten how amazing it is. Iraiza, One foot in the grave, One, Hold Baroque Inside, etc. Did he ever ever make music in this style for any other game? I can't recall any examples myself, which would be a shame if that was the case.

I'm afraid he didn't. It's a shame indeed!

I think I've seen the name of this soundtrack pop up a few times in the past several years and always thought it's one of those prog rock albums by Motoi Sakuraba. But I realized I'm confusing this album with Baroque in the Future by Sakuraba's band Deja Vu. Now I'm so delighted to have "discovered" a new Masaharu Iwata album, will have to listen to this!

That three note motif at the start of track 8 Little always bugged me as it reminded me of something else, and after all this time I've just realised it's the start of Memories Of Green from the Blade Runner soundtrack. Makes total sense as there's huge Vangelis influence in the synth choices on this album.
