JASRAC has the entire X5 soundtrack credited solely to Tanaka, so I don't find it particularly trustworthy in this case. Kamisaka has gone in pretty hard on claiming he wrote the song if he didn't actually write the song [1] [2]

Speaking of X5's composer credits, I came across something weird on YouTube a while back:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL6mZwymbF0

This reviewer highlights several of X5's tracks during this review, but he seems to have individual composers listed for individual tracks. Could that information be somewhere? I commented in the comments about it but never got a response, maybe I or someone else should try directly messaging him. That or it's bull.

Yeah, looking through that site it doesn't seem super credible. I know things like Dr. Wily's Revenge are unconfirmed. Thanks though, it seems that's where that info is from.

Capcom acknowledged several errors in the newer box that also apply here:

* X3 Arrange ("Disc9"): "ENDING 2" should be "GET A WEAPON"
* X4 tracks ("Disc4") are mistitled

Naoto Tanaka: The rest.

I think Takuya Miyawaki helped Tanaka in his arrangements, making them sound more like techno.

Recently, Kamisaka has tweeted on X5's 23rd anniversary a Spotify playlist he himself created with his music available on said platform, including the following X5 tracks:

Quote:
X vs ZERO
DARK NECROBAT STAGE
DYNAMO
SIGMA 1st
SIGMA 2nd

I think Sigma 2nd is definitely from Naoto, it uses the same brass from Blizzard Wolfang and Infinity Mijinion.

Shinya Okada didn't mention anything at all about X5 in the MMX Sound Box commentary.
