Why was Animation/Arrangement removed (again)? Aren't these new arrangements of the existing OST compositions?

None of the other works albums are classified as such. They are all classified as original works and they all have rearranged shit on them. It has been that way since the beginning

Yeah, I know about other entries, it doesn't mean it was entirely correct to do so.

Original work (if only that is selected) means it's just music that doesn't have any game/animation origins. Normally, original work shouldn't be selected for arrangements of existing game/animation OST things. Similar if you take any game music arrangement album (e.g. drammatica), deselect game category and replace arrangement with original work, it's not correct.

If you're maybe worried for the cases when anime relevant tracks are minority on one such album, animation category (game too) is used even if you have only one or two tracks that are anime related (entries for certain j-pop full albums come to mind).

At least these 4 "Works" albums should be fixed. Eventually "Best Selections" & other thingies can be too, where needed.

The original specification never called for that and I was told years ago when I added all these that it was Original Works, pretty sure it was by SS. I don't know (or really care) if that's changed at this point. All I know is I searched for "Hisaishi Works" and saw 3 of the 4 entries in blue (original works) and this one wasn't, so I changed it according to the other 3. Having them show up as anime related in green doesn't make sense because they're compilations from many different things. Sometimes that includes anime, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't mean it's an anime release or should be classified as one, imo.

Let's say 2 songs on j-pop album are anime related and other 10 have no anime relation whatsoever. Just because of them, album will get animation category. Compilations also, that have mixed game and animation content (and possibly who knows what else) also have both categories selected.

It works like that nowadays and it's not exactly a new thing anymore.
