A lot of the composer information here is wrong. This is such an awesome album, by the way.

The credits should be correct now.

Wrong Nakamura on TMNT 2 (Keizo didn't join Konami until 1993, used to be on his Facebook page), and Iku Mizutani is the only composer of Shatterhand as far as I know (Koichi Yamanishi isn't even in the credits). Otherwise, looks good to me.
Now to fix a bunch of Keizo miscredits in the database... |

Those were the only two games I wasn't sure on. So it's unknown who did TMNT2?

Should be Kozo Nakamura, who also worked on TMNT3, unless Konami had a third K. Nakamura that no one knows about. Kozo debuted in 1989 with Gradius III and all the Nakamura/Nakamur NES games are him ("Nakamur" confirmed as his alias through the Canadian Copyrights Database for Zen: Intergalactic Ninja).

who is tommy? and notes really need that story?

It would be Mutsuhiko Izumi and Miki Hagashino since the composition originally comes from the arcade counterpart.

Oh, the NES game uses music from the arcade game? I guess that makes sense, I'm not sure why I assumed it was all original music.

Yeah. There's only 4 tracks exclusive to the NES version (Winter, Shogun, while the Sewer & Skateboarding levels feature new tracks) presumably then by K. Nakamura.

Sorry, I hadn't followed up on my original posting. The corrections should be (this is just what I wrote to Ubiktune)...
--Track 1 from TMNT is Jun Funahashi, not Keizou Nakamura. Also Keizo Nakamura hadn't yet started working at Konami when TMNT was made. --Track 3 from Contra is Kazuki Muraoka, who did the original arcade music. Hidenori Maezawa only arranged and converted the arcade music for the NES. Kyouhei Sada did sound effects. --Track 5 from Castlevania II is just Kenichi Matsubara (also, it's Kenichi, not Kenishi). --Track 10 from Shatterhand is just Iku Mizutani. --Track 11 from Mega Man 2 is Takashi Tateishi. Ogeretsu Kun is his alias. Manami Matsumae is listed in the credits to MM2, because she did the music to MM1, and some of the music in MM2 reuses the music from MM1, but not that Wood Man track. Yoshihiro Sakaguchi was only the sound director. He didn't compose. Last edited by ntwrk506; Sep 30, 2013 at 03:53 AM. |

Oops, nevermind my previous post. Currently, they are all correct except:
Track 5 from Castlevania II should be Kenichi Matsubara, not Hidehiro Funauchi (Funauchi did CVII for the Game Boy). Track 9 from TMNT II should be Mutsuhiko Izumi and Miki Higashino, not Keizo Nakamura (and if it were one of the exclusive tracks to the NES version, it would be Kozo Nakamura, not Keizo -but this particular track was adapted from the arcade version). |
