The multiplication sign "×" should be used in the English title instead of an x.

For the display title we usually replace them. They also do the same with the official english title: https://twitter.com/durararaUSA/stat...30089925464064

That's one of the things the official English titles get wrong all the time.

I actually prefer the multiplication sign, it's what I like to use for those "A×B" artist names at least. Looks better imo. :P
And for Durarara, you can definitely tell that it's a × in the logo rather than an x. |

I remember quite a few examples where we replaced them in the display title even if they clearly use the sign like:
Inu x Boku Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb Kiss x Sis HUNTER x HUNTER (not very consistent for this one) Probably more, these were just off the top of my head. Not sure what's the stance with artists, but I think we've been pretty consistent with at least the product titles on display titles, japanese field usually has the sign. EDIT: and certainly we shouldn't use ‼ in the title when it's not even used in japanese. Last edited by Illidan; Mar 23, 2016 at 08:41 AM. |

I only use it for the display title anyways. The product name remains untouched. It's only a visual thing and it doesn't effect searches since it's a single character. You submitted this album though so it's your choice.
I didn't even know there was a double exclamation mark symbol. What's even the point of that? |

Well, for me it's just a matter of consistency more than preference. If we use "x" in the romaji title of the product (leaving translations aside), I think it makes more sense for the album title to be the same.

I suppose, but even right now they're different.
Display: DuRaRaRa!!x2 Product: Durarara!! X2 |

This isn't really the best example since "Durarara!! X2" is how the title is written on the English website (or at least was when I created the entry, Aniplex USA likes changing them and being really inconsistent about it), and that should be default for products.
If there wasn't an English title, I suppose we would have used "DuRaRaRa!!x2" just like we used "Inu x Boku" or "Hidamari x whatever" (which I created, but I'm pretty sure the entries mostly used "x" already when I made them). |

Aniplex is always inconsistent. Look at this recent press release where they even use the symbol: http://www.aniplexusa.com/pdf/PRAnip...Details_R1.pdf
