Default Game collection tracking equivalent of VGMdb

I was wondering if there are any sites out there with a similar structure/goal to VGMdb but focused on the games themselves; that includes letting you keep track of your collection just like here.
I know about mobygames, and supposedly it's one of the most important game DBs on the net, but I don't quite like it as much as I'd hope. The collection pages aren't really that intuitive, it's slow to add large groups of games, and it doesn't distinguish between versions which I think is essential since, as you most probably know, different regions will sometimes vary in content/extras (the DB also does not provide info on arcade games, which is kind of disappointing).

So which other alternatives are there? Backloggery perhaps?

Backloggery is really the best site for that kind of thing. It's different in that it's not built as a database, but as a way to keep track of your own collection. However, it's probably the closest thing you'll find.

...Unfortunately, there's no way right now to make an account for the sake of their server, but it'll be back soon enough. Until then, the only site I can think of is mobygames.

I use RF Generation to keep track of my game collection. Every game I own is in their database (imports included) and it even has hardware. If something isn't in the database you can add it yourself, which I've successfully done a few times.
