Are we sure it's a commercial release?

I don't think we are certain.

The text on the back implies that it didn't come with the game (no need to advertise it if it did.) Plus it was distributed by Sony Music France. Other than that, it's hard to say.

Info came from Discogs, mostly:

http://www.discogs.com/Jean-Baudlot-...release/395291

EDIT - It wouldn't surprise me if it was some kind of promo though...

Yeah probably, although I do remember some obis advertising the soundtrack it's supposed to go with, which is kind of funny. But a 2 track release is most certainly a promo.

Bit of useless trivia, the two tracks were from every CD-ROM version of the game (3DO, CD-i, PC) except the Sega CD version which had a full soundtrack. All the other versions had no in-game music, just a title screen and ending piece. And with the wonders of redbook audio you could use the Sega CD disc as a soundtrack.

Well it's not useless at all than. So it IS an 'Original Soundtrack'... otherwise it should be classified as an 'Arrangement'.

Can anyone confirm the 1st track is ~ 3:03 like stated in the back cover ?
I have encountered a version of the song that is somewhat longer and arranged in the same style.
