Folder ID's
I think there should be some solution for folder ID's so that you can look up which one is which. Just take a look in my collection and the folder structure. Well, there are 5 (or so) folders that has the same name, and it's a real bi*ch to try and figure out which folder is the one under, say, the "Final Fantasy" folder with one of those folders that has the same name as 4 other folders with the same name (in this case the "Contains log" and "Doesn't contain log" folders).
How about showing the ID's right next to the folders for your own collection? (When browsing your own collection). |

I'm not sure I understand, since you can always see which folder it's under, when browsing your collection.
One thing I'd like to note though: if you've got folders named something like "Lossless for trade" or anything else that denotes file sharing, please make them private so that the don't show up as folder titles on an album's show_collections page. |

What I mean by ID is the numbers from, for example, the dropdown lists under "Add to collection". If you added those ID numbers next to the folders when browsing in a collection, you would be able to see what the ID number of the particular folder you need to choose in the dropdown list have. Since I have several folders with the same name, it would be conveniant to show ID numbers visually in your collection.
For example if I want to add a Tekken soundtrack to the "Doesn't contain log" folder under the Tekken folder, how am I supposed to know which ID number to chose in the dropdown list under the "Add to collection" page? If I make the folder private, doesn't the folder go invisible to others then? Last edited by Nisto; Jan 7, 2010 at 09:09 PM. |

Oh, I see what you mean. Maybe we should put the whole path there instead.
Private folders and albums are invisible to others. |

Oh yeah, I thought about that too, forgot to mention that idea.
Well, I want it to be visible to others, heh. |

As a compromise, I can just make it so your page doesn't show up on the show_collection pages for an album. We already did that for Zhane.

If you feel that it's a must, then do so.
So is it a go on those IDs/paths? |

IDs now show up in front of your folder names when you view your own collection.

To be honest, I never had much trouble with the folders, but nevertheless I truly appreciate this addition.
Thanks. |

Well, this thread answers my question. I was going to ask why there is now a number displayed in my folder names. It won't help me, but it won't hurt me, either.
