I've noticed the change in the credits, adding Noriyuki Asakura in a composer role, do we know what his participation has been?

I guess it had to do with the origins of the game as a spiritual sequel to Tenchu.

I guess you could make assumptions about which tracks were his based on the instrumentation. For example, this track features solo violin and solo cello so it must have from Asakura's recording session. Kitamura's session only included solo cello and shinobue.

Any tracks featuring a real strings section would have come from Asakura's session too.

On Twitter, Kitamura says that she composed around 90% of the tracks.

Based on that, only around 5 tracks on this soundtrack should be Asakura's.

It's true, I asked her in that tweet but she didn't want to give details. Neither Asakura via email.

I discovered that on the track "End of a Vicious Struggle" it can be hear a guitar at the end, what makes me think of Kiyotsugu Amano. That piece from the credits could be one of the Asakura's, BUT the guitar segment it's not included in the length of the piece and I don't know where it comes from.

Edit: Nah, it's just a suscribe jingle from Ubi Sunt Music.

i'm a big fan of Yuka Kitamura and I'd recognize his style anywhere.
And this is SURELY the musicof the ost who has been composed by Asakura:
10 - Sculptor of the Dilapidated Temple
29 - Children of Rejuvenation
32 - Apparitions
38 - Great Shinobi
47 - Conspiracy

14 Great Serpent
29 Children Of Rejuvenation
32 Apparitions
38 Great Shinobi
41 Great Coloured Carp
47 Conspiracy
48 The Owl (arranged by Yuka Kitamura)
