I wonder if this means that they'll put the original OST of BAYONETTA back in print?

Ueda is the lead composer, but I don't believe anyone else has been confirmed yet. I fully expect there to be several other composers, like other PG games.

I'd be shocked if Hiroshi Yamaguchi didn't contribute.

Well Ueda writes "Most of the composers for the original Bayonetta returned to help out on Bayonetta 2."

And in a new blog post, Hideki Kamiya confirms Rei Kondoh is one of the returning composers (yay!) http://platinumgames.com/2014/09/21/...n-bayonetta-2/

However, does Kondoh appear elsewhere in the staff credit?

Kondoh said on a twitter post that he worked on the game, if anybody was wondering if the blog had misprinted his involvement. Doesn't explain why he wasn't credited in the staff roll though.

The staff list posted by Cedille only seems to cover in-house staff. Norihiko Hibino, Takahiro Izutani, and Rei Kondoh are also listed later in the credits for musical composition. Kondoh and Izutani also confirmed their involvement on their Twitters.

So, yeah- really enjoyed the first OST so I'm really looking forward to this one, too. Can't wait to see what they do for the fifth disc this time.

From what I've been able to play of the game it seems the soundtrack will follow the template set by the first: pop songs for the skirmishes, power choirs for the bigger battles and for likely for the recurring fights with the Lumen Sage as well. I've just... been too busy trying to stay on the winning side of things to have noticed. Sorry. Appropriate mood fitting music accompanies the cutscenes and samples of classical tunes again play during Angelic LP trade with Rodin for special weapons. There's also a few themes reused from the original, but with a smoother overall production.

If you didn't enjoy Bayonetta's soundtrack there isn't anything here to change your mind. If you did enjoy it though you're sure to enjoy this as well.

I'm going to try to get a screen grab of the composers, but likely by the time I do we'll have all the info already.

Some of the "composer" credits here are actually arrangement, notably everything Naoto Tanaka commented on in the booklet (because those are all classical music originally). Anyone want to give identifying the reprises a go?

For the ones by Naoto Tanaka (going by the titles):
40: Vjezd gladiátorů/Entrance of the Gladiators by Julius Vilém Fučík
41: Guglielmo Tell Introduzione/William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini
42: Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen by Mozart
43: Erlkönig by Franz Schubert
44: The Harmonious Blacksmith by Händel
45: O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden from St Matthew Passion (Bach)

Ah, color me unobservant. I somehow thought my list would differ from Cedille's. When it didn't I properly read your post. Thanks Chris.

Sorry, I didn't mean to submit four track lists at once. The last one which features the "Moon River" references is the correct English translation. Please delete the others. Oh, and also, the © should really be (C).

Again, I apologize.

The english tracklist seems to have come from the five-volume separated version on iTunes (the 183-track version doesn't seem to be available on iTunes). Two tracks are missing in the current english tracklist of disc 2. See the obi scan. Typos: 122, 211, 319, 421, 512. Discrepancies: 207, 208, 547.

Added some missing credits from liner notes for 224, 225, 232, 410.

533~534 looks (from liner notes) like Masato Shindo / Masahito Shindou.

I added Masato Shindo as composer for 533 and 534. I'm not sure how you want to write it, since long vowels are written in different ways on this site depending on the artist. "o" "oh" "ou".
He seems to spell it like this anyway.
進藤 雅人 (しんどう まさと)

I submitted a new english tracklist with the corrections in my post above. The translation comes verbatim from iTunes. The track lengths, the two Moon River tracks and the track numbers come from the Japanese tracklist for the CDs.

iTunes credits:
117 — Theme of Bayonetta 2 - Tomorrow Is Mine — Keeley Bumford (or Mumford, or are they two different people ?)
126 — The Gates of Hell — Yohei Ichikawa (trumpet performer, track reused from Bayonetta 1)

Digital volumes are on Amazon too with some possible iTunes character encoding issues altered:
5.45 Angelic Hymns Gold LP: Matthaeus-Passion
5.47 Trailer - End Credits

Thanks. I have changed the cases as well (e.g.: iTunes: EV55 the Beginning -> Amazon: EV55 The Beginning).

545 is, I think, Matthäus-Passion.
547: on Amazon, that's a hyphen-minus. Maybe it was Trailer @ End Credits or Trailer / End Credits.

Amazon has a question mark for an ellipsis, though.
