It's been a really long time since I last did, so it might be a good idea to get a relistening of CC OST done soon, and recalibrate my expectations if need be. Personally been really surprised at what doesn't move me anymore.

Does anybody know for sure if Mitsuda was really with Wolf Team in 1991?

I believe I read this before. It was where he got his initial training.

He worked there as a part time worker during his Muse academy days, and he actually used LTNS to meet Sakuraba in the diary, if I remember it correctly.

From a recently translated Ultimania interview with Masato Kato, regarding Chrono Trigger's development:
Quote:
I also used to stop by Mr Mitsuda the composer’s booth a lot, listen to some of the music he was making and tell him what I thought of it. One time he got really angry all of a sudden and was like “If you’re going to complain about every little thing, make it yourself!” (laughs)
Lol.

It seems Mitsuda did the music for an hour-long NHK special that aired the other day. You can hear the theme here: http://www.nhk.or.jp/space/ison/blog/20131202.html

I was surprised considering Iwasaki did the music for the previous seasons. I guess he is busy with Mahouka right now.

It's good to see Mitsuda doing an anime that isn't Inazuma.

Red face Yasunori Mitsuda

So glad to see Euro Historia is finally getting a soundtrack! I remember playing through that game and LOVING the arrangements in there. Classical x Video Game Music = confirmed win. All we need now is some sort of soundtrack for those iOS games so I don't have to leave the game open to hear the songs.

Since I'm posting here, I might as well say Yasunori Mitsuda is the main reason I even joined this site. Outside of Kondo's Mario music, Mitsuda is my favorite composer of all time and I think I have a bigger Mitsuda collection than anyone else on here (and growing!). He's the main thing I seem to listen to these days. What can I say, I love Mitsuda~

Looks like his next score will be for a NHK drama: http://www.nhk.or.jp/utsunomiya/drama/staff.html

A TV special, a TV anime, and now a TV drama. Seems like he's doing a bit of everything lately.

I remember someone saying the Chrono Cross arranged album was the Chinese Democracy of game music. But actually Guns n' Roses only spent nine years on that album, whereas Mitsuda has talked on and off about a Chrono Cross arranged album for considerably more than a decade, since about the time the game was released, hasn't he?

Mitsuda will be joining the End of Eternity soundtrack in some capacity. Details will hopefully be shared when the kickstarter goes live.

I think if it's a matter of reaching a particular goal to get Mitsuda to be more than just a "guest" composer, I'll back it just for that. And so should all his fans.

Shouldn't this be 'Edge of Eternity'?

And not this one...

I'm surprised Mitsuda agreed to be associated with this.. extremely surprised.
Not necessarily in a good way.

Hello everyone, i'm one of the devs of Edge Of Eernity,

Just wanted to say that we are actually 4 people working on the game and the Kickstarter is just one of the first steps the game is actually a early early pre-alpha, we go on kickstarter to hire more people (we'd like to go up to 6-7 people) to improve the art style dramatically, the game is set to release at the end of 2016 at least so we have plenty of time, Mr.Mitsuda completely understood that and it's not the first time he seen projects in alpha, he saw the potential of the project even in this state and agreed to work with us believing on what the community can help us to realize.

About the contribution of Mr.Mitsuda it will be one of the first stretch goals and it will not be that high compared to the base goal (and the goal is not so high too because we already fund a large part of the game we only need to hire a little extra people to ensure that the game will be good looking and fun to play)

Who will be the other composers, if that's already known?

Mr.Mitsuda will compose the biggest part of the OST and the most important themes if we reach the stretch goal, the other composer is Cedric Menendez who is already composing the Hover : Revolt Of Gamers OST alongside Hideki Naganuma the original composer of Jet Set Radio.

If only we could've kickstarted Mitsuda's involvement on Xenoblade X.
