Lair Soundtrack?

Hello,

I found this Lair soundtrack on eBay, and I'm wondering if it's legit. The database has no listing of it, and I can't find anything on the internet.

I emailed the seller and they said they had bought it on eBay a long time ago and that it was legitimate, but I'm really having doubts.

It looks really professional for a non Asian bootleg though.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a fan-made release, at least nothing official.

You also can't judge the professionality of this thing with these low resolution pics on eBay. To me this looks like one of these standard double-disc jewel cases, together with printed cover art (maybe on glossy paper) and labeled CD-Rs.

Ask the seller to give you the barcode number, and then look that up, if you're really curious.

I think that when you see the words "Complete Score", it's code for "Homemade Bootleg". Like this guy, who seems to make a living selling copies of a 5CD complete score of Avatar:

Wow, that set looks really impressive. I'm surprised bootleggers would go to all that trouble to make something that doesn't exist, but I guess there's an untapped niche they're getting into.

Just for general information purpose, as far as I know that 5CD Avatar thing is the "real deal", BUT burned from lossy-sourced material.... The guy who originally shared it made a lossy encode.

There are lots of guys who take well-tagged game rips and sell them on eBay & co. Some time ago I stumbled upon a Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance Soundtrack which basically resembled the one currently in the Database..... The only difference was in the absence of the Remix track, swapped by a suite of 'selections'.
