I like to see the silver lining in this: they bothered to put together an official release, so many games don't have that. Lossy is good enough for listening, anyway.

The standard release of this soundtrack was supposedly offered in lossless as part of a Humble Bundle (I use supposedly because, well, it might very well have been a transcode).

I think he might be refering to that, that the lossless is a transcode from lossy.

I kinda hate lossy transcodes, but as you say, I'm happy enough that they made an official release.

No, I just meant that the only way to buy the bonus tracks are in lossy, despite the lossless being available for the 'normal' OST.

As for if they are transcodes, it's hard to say, and someone who has both versions would be better equipped to answer it.

And now you can't even buy them any more anyway.

What are you referring to? The Skill Tree Records link is still working EDIT: and the tracklist there has 51 tracks as well.

Yeah, this same version is available over at Skill Tree Records now (I've just added the link).

You can apparently buy it as mp3 and you have to contact them after the purchase to get the lossless version. Applies to all albums they're offering, according to this at least:

As sorry, I figured it was the same as Castlevania Lords of Shadow.

But what a weird process, having to buy the Mp3 and then email to ask for FLAC.
