Is there any more information on this? If a date hasn't been set, or an official announcement hasn't been made, then it is probably premature to add this.

It is based on the recently announced Square Enix Sampler Vol. 5 album, following the official site confirmation there would be a third album to complete the SQ trilogy. It's a borderline case, given the title might be tentative and the release date could be a while off. However, because there have been at least two confirmations this album is in the works, I'd be personally inclined to keep it.

To defend this entry, there was another album which was added to the database in a very similar situation (iirc, no price, tracklist, date but only the tentative title was available), and we approved it. (To rephrase my post elsewhere), if there might be some users who didn't add these albums, thinking it'd be premature at that point, it may be better to have a public discussion as to what's premature and what's not to establish our stance. I also might have jumped the gun and added this album in a bit too early a stage - my apologies (but we knew the number of discs and what it would contain).

Personally, once a new release is dated, I think it's fine to add that album without so much substance, and even when not dated, it's also fine if there is enough information on that release. If the publisher just reveals "a plan" to release albums (e.g. a soundtrack for Opoona) would I wait until the first & second sources reveals more, or the retail catches the release. Only the title is known is a very borderline case. As there are more albums like that (Chrono Cross Arrange Album, Nobuo Uematsu Hizou Ongenshu, etc.), maybe it'd be better to wait a bit.

Oh god, TWO tracks are covering FF main theme?? And another prelude?? What'd they run out of ideas? The gratitude I have for them including a nier track could possibly allow forgiveness for one of those tracks, but not three >=(

Unfortunately, I'll probably still buy it ;_;

One is the series main theme, also known as "Final Fantasy," and the other is the "Main Theme of Final Fantasy V," which is a very separate piece.

I'm not going to buy it, even though I do love the FFV main theme, because I tend not to like these type of albums...

and no More EX (for enix-labeled games)

I guess enix don't deserve stuff :/
(I don't mean that sort of album in particular)

Actually, I think he's referring to tracks 1 and 4, which both state Main Theme from the Final Fantasy series, whereas FFV Main Theme is a separate track.

Second time this week I've made a fool out of myself. Oh well, I'll do better next year! (About 4 hours to clean up my act...)

Please note the tracklist has been extended since I submitted the current one. There are 13 tracks now.

Famitsu has a tracklist but in no specific order: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201012/27037390.html

New tracklist (it appears that the order is tentative, and that is why I didn't add it as a new tracklist):

Quote:

◎ ROCKETMAN /「FINAL FANTASY」
◎ MOUSE ON THE KEYS /「FINAL FANTASY VIII」より『The Extreme』
◎ JABBERLOOP /「FINAL FANTASY V」
◎ 畠山美由紀 /「FINAL FANTASY IX」より『Melodies Of Life』
◎ RE:NDZ /「FINAL FANTASY」

I've changed the tracklist again, this is supposed to be the final one.

Anyone know about this slipcase? Is it a limited edition thing, or what?

Apparently it's only when you purchase it from a certain CD shop. Original story here: http://natalie.mu/music/news/43331

It seems this was repressed under the same SQEX 10238 catalogue number with a second catalogue number TGCS-6558.

And apparently the track listing may be different for the two, but I believe they are the same songs, just with different names and a different order.
