According to JASRAC, Alpine Surfer Music Masters composed for 1~5, 11 and B.K.O is 3, 6~12 so not sure where the blurb came from

vgmrips.net credits it to Takayuki Ishikawa, is that the real identity of ALPINE SURFER MUSIC MASTERS?

The name would indicate more than one person but I wouldn't be too surprised if he wasn't at least one given his work on Alpine Racer. Also seems like one of those arcades that wouldn't include credits but not sure.

I honestly believe the JASRAC credits are broken. As noted, the actual OST only credits Keiichi Okabe for "Blizzard", and that is the only one that sounds like his musical style too. It's probably some database entry adding gone wrong.

As for whoever Alpine Surfer Music Masters is, I'm very sure one of them is Takayuki Ishikawa since some of these do sound like his work. The "Music Masters" credit seemed to be used to mask the identities of composers that left the company, meaning the other composer(s) is also ex-Namco; maybe it was Masahiro Fukuzawa, who frequently worked with Ishikawa?

I don't believe Fukuzawa's ever claimed to have worked on Alpine Surfer, but his works list wasn't 100% complete https://web.archive.org/web/20110120...g-entry-2.html

Yeah the rock tracks don't really sound like him. I had also wondered if it was Kazuhiro Nakamura since he did Alpine Racer 2's rock OST, but he was still at Namco at the time and it's not listed on the Monaca Wiki (yep that's a thing!). I have no clue who else could've been involved. Maybe all of them are just Ishikawa, but I doubt it.
