The punctuation in track 31's title (NEVER END_NEVER END_NEVER END) seems incorrect to me.

1. From what i can see of the back cover (it's very tiny), the letters appear far too close together to fit a _ between them.

2. A Google search does not return any results for other sites that use this punctuation for this specific release. (I think the underscores are used in one of the re-release versions of the album, but every listing i've found for this catalogue number shows either 'NEVER ENDNEVER ENDNEVER END' or 'NEVER END,NEVER END,NEVER END'.)

Can anyone who has this release please verify?

Also i don't understand why there isn't a single high-resolution scan of this release on the entire Internet. I've looked everywhere and 450x450 is the absolute max i can find, even on Japanese sites. It's a fairly popular album, is it not? Surely someone has something bigger?

thanks

You might be right, but we do have a higher quality scan for the European release, and it does show the underscores:

Hopefully someone can clear this up with a good set of scans.

I just checked mine and they're definitely not underscores on the Japanese release. I'd say commas but there's a very slight possibility that they're periods. The print is crazy small and the white on gray doesn't help.

I see, commas was my impression as well. I couldn't find any track listings online that use dots. Cheers!

So the Japanese and European versions are slightly different. Wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

I know this is sort of a late answer, but I'm pretty sure it's a rip from the game. :P I'm pretty pissed actually for this release omitting it (and to be honest, for the best experience a high-quality gamerip is needed). Kickass music either way, though.

I have no clue why Yamaoka didn't include the whole thing on the soundtrack, to be honest. There were a number of things left out, but that struck me as the oddest omission.

What I hear is a looping of the 48 second track of not tomorrow 1, no difference other than adding it to loop.

Nope, it's not really a straightforward loop. You don't have that other melody developing on the background. It is pretty different in my opinion. Just listen those two tracks back to back and you'll hear it. Or skip to 0:57 on the video, that section is definitely not present.

You are right, I retract my statement, my brain must create the sounds from the plucking kicks in. It is weird though, cause I could swear I listen to that version from the video with the background melody from my soundtracks.

To clear the earlier answer on what type of punctuation is being used, I think we should look at the Box set that came out, which definitely shows it as commas.

What is a reasonable price to pay for this soundtrack (yen or USD)?
